How can I use IRC?. *-Ax10m77-* (talk) 15:17, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- General information about IRCs can be found in the Wikipedia article at Internet Relay Chat, while information about the Wikipedia-specific IRC channels can be found here: WP:IRC. Best regards, Cindy(talk to me) 15:37, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Hello, I get an error message whemever I try to get on IRC saying "404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable." *-Ax10m77-* (talk) 15:59, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- Try #wikipedia-en-help connect to click on 'connect' - this is a spartan webchat, but it works. mabdul 18:22, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
No luck, the page doesn't eve load. Thanks, *-Ax10m77-* (talk) 18:35, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- What browser are you using? Ryan Vesey Review me! 18:41, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- Are you clicking the green connect or the blue #wikipedia-en-help? Ryan Vesey Review me! 18:41, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
I clicked on the Connect, and I tried the Blue wikipedia help button. THX, Ax10m77 (talk) 18:42, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- I asked for help with your issue at IRC. They told me to ask you if you have noscript installed. Ryan Vesey Review me! 18:51, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- Can you try using http://webchat.freenode.net/?randomnick=1&channels=wikipedia-en-help Ryan Vesey Review me! 18:55, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
It says this: Server Error 404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. thanks, Ax10m77 (talk) 18:59, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- They haven't gotten back to me, the only idea I have is to attempt to use a different browser to connect. Ryan Vesey Review me! 19:22, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Maybe it's my network, it has a severely strict firewall. I'll try later. THX, Ax10m77 (talk) 19:24, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
ACC rights
[edit]*-Ax10m77-* (talk) 17:27, 15 May 2012 (UTC)==How can I gain ACC rights?== {{Help me}} Hello, I would like to become an Account Creator (http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Account_creator) but how can I apply?. *-Ax10m77-* (talk) 16:28, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- You need to have experience creating accounts already, and be regularly hitting the creation limit. Judging by your various requests for rights, you seem to misunderstand what Wikipedia is about. The goal here is to improve the project, by building articles. Editors are granted various rights when doing so will allow them to continue improving the project, and when their edits so far have shown they can be trusted. If you're here because you want to make Wikipedia better, then please, do so, there are plenty of articles that need help. However if you are only here because you want to gain "levels", then I'm afraid Wikipedia is not what you're looking for--Jac16888 Talk 16:52, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
I am not seeking "levels," I would just like to help create accounts because it seems interesting.
- Then you need to show you can be trusted, and that you are here for the benefit of the project, by editing some articles and gaining some experience in what we're about--Jac16888 Talk 17:03, 15 May 2012 (Uip!
Thanks, I applied for mentorship! *-Ax10m77-* (talk) 17:27, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

- Hey Ax1om77! I run an adoption program that you can see here. Would you be interested in having me adopt you and going through the program? Ryan Vesey Review me! 17:57, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Sounds great! *-Ax10m77-* (talk) 17:59, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- I have created your adoption page at User:Ryan Vesey/Adopt/Ax1om77. You can also feel free to add {{User Adoptee|Ryan Vesey}} if you wish. Ryan Vesey Review me! 18:05, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
OK, I will. Thanks! *-Ax10m77-* (talk) 18:06, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- I made an error when I left you a link for the talk page. It should exist at User talk:Ryan Vesey/Adopt/Ax1om77. I moved your comment. Ryan Vesey Review me! 18:46, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia: check out the Teahouse!
[edit]Hello! Ax1om77,
you are invited to the Teahouse, a forum on Wikipedia for new editors to ask questions about editing Wikipedia, and get support from peers and experienced editors. Please join us! Sarah (talk) 20:08, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

previous accounts
[edit]Have you edited English Wikipedia under other account names? Nobody Ent 21:13, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- What is the basis of this question? Ryan Vesey Review me! 21:15, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Good point- what IS the basis? THX, Ax1om77 21:33, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, you did state that you have used an account to edit Wikipedia here. Can you please identify that account? As for your plan to run for adminship, please read Wikipedia:Advice for RfA candidates before you think of transcluding your request. It will probably be six months to a year before most editors will consider you. Ryan Vesey Review me! 21:40, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
I used another IP address to do edits, with no RFD, bans, or punishment. I have not recieved any AGF punishment either. And thanks for the Admin info. THX, Ax1om77 21:42, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response. Ryan Vesey Review me! 21:45, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Confirmed user permissions
[edit]I noticed that you requested confirmed user permissions. I would be more than happy to leave a note saying I have adopted you and will monitor your edits so that you can become confirmed. Still, you will be autoconfirmed in 4 days. Maybe you should try to work through a couple of the lessons and tests I have for you in the next 4 days and then you will have some good knowledge behind your belt for when you are autoconfirmed. What do you think, can you wait the 4 days or do you have specific things that you would like to do now that require you to be confirmed? Ryan Vesey Review me! 21:46, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
I did have some goals, but I will take your tests as soon as I get home. Can you write me a note? THX, Ax1om77 21:50, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, I didn't notice the second discussion on the page. I think it would be better for you to continue with the program and just wait until you are autoconfirmed. The four days may seem like a lifetime, but it would be good to get some more experience before you start asking for permissions. Ryan Vesey Review me! 21:52, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
OK. Ax1om77 21:53, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

- Is it possible for you to site the article in my sandbox? Its glitching up for me :O
THX, Ax1om77 02:10, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
- Even better, I will tell you how so you'll always know.
- 1) Add references like this: All bunnies are cute.<ref>http://www.all-about-rabbits.com</ref>
- 2) Run http://toolserver.org/~dispenser/view/Reflinks (use interactive option).
Still confused :( What is the point of the Python ToolServer application? THX, Ax1om77 05:35, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
- After you add the references, it formats them really nicely, saving you oodles of time. Come to http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#wikipedia-en-help if you like, and I will walk you through it the first time. You will like IRC, we are all there. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:46, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 06:26, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

Hello Ax1om77. I noticed that a Requests for Adminship page was created under your name, either by you or by someone else, and I was wondering as to what the status of that request might be. Please note that new users are rarely successful at RfA and that the Wikipedia editing community sets an extremely high bar for potential administrator candidates. That being said, I strongly urge you to read Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship, Wikipedia:Adminship is not for new users, and Wikipedia:Not now, and ask you to reconsider whether you really do wish to go through with your candidacy; please understand that you stand very little to no chance of passing RfA at this point and that you are strongly discouraged from running for adminship. If you are still intent on running for adminship with that request and are absolutely positive that this is what you want, please transclude your RfA at WP:RFA by following the instructions at WP:RFA/N; otherwise, I'll go ahead and delete the RfA page for you in about a week or so from today. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 17:40, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
Please delete it. THX, Ax1om77 07:47, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
- It has been deleted. GB fan 13:24, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Hey man, it's been a while. I had been diagnosed with a long-term illness last year that I just got over recently, had a couple surgeries, and school on top of that, so I had no time for leisure, let alone living like a normal human! I'm back now :) sorted out all medical and other issues.
