If you are an instructor, you probably should practice what you preach

[edit]

Editing some Wikipedia articles before assigning homework would probably give you some useful experience relevant to the assignments. One aspect to emphasize to students is WP:SECONDARY. --Smokefoot (talk) 17:51, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have some concerns about the articles students started here recently such as Parisa Mehrkhodavandi, Rebecca Abergel and Abigail Doyle which are instantly showing signs of no Notability by WP:PROF (given there's no significant awards, citations, etc.). So I'm curious how exactly they were selected as articles. As Gregory Hillhouse is listed, I'm not seeing signs of notability based on his faculty pages. I will note, however, that there's clear unquestionable notability in the others listed at the WikiEd class. It would be helpful to make sure each student fully understands WP:PROF or is assured they can ask for help. SwisterTwister talk 08:42, 13 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
