Your contributed article, Criticize(song)

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Criticize(song). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Criticize (song). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Criticize (song) – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. PamD 08:09, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Misery Loves My Company has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet WP:GNG or WP:NSONG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello, Awesomeone3624. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Rick DeJesus (Singer), for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Rick DeJesus (Singer) to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Misery Loves My Company. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 18:23, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Have you taken the time to read WP:GNG and WP:NSONG?
The first is the general notability guideline. It essentially states that a subject that is written about at length is sufficiently notable to have an article.
The second is specific to songs and has three simple criteria:
  1. Has been ranked on national or significant music or sales charts.
  2. Has won one or more significant awards or honors, such as a Grammy, Juno, Mercury, Choice or Grammis award.
  3. Has been independently released as a recording by several notable artists, bands, or groups.
It's not just that the article doesn't inform us of that criteria, it's that the subjects don't meet the criteria so you could never find sources to support the existence of the article. Please stop creating articles about songs that don't meet the criteria and stop contesting their deletion. It simply drags the process out. I'm not picking on your or your creations, I am just following the guidelines for creation. Walter Görlitz (talk) 18:31, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
And there is a difference between a PROD, which you may delete, and an Article for Deletion, which you may not delete. Walter Görlitz (talk) 18:32, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removing AfD template

[edit]

Stop icon This is your last warning. The next time you remove an Articles for deletion notice or a comment from an AfD discussion, as you did at Dog On A leash, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot I NotifyOnline 14:45, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dog On A leash, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Stuck (Adelitas Way album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bass (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Save the World (Adelitas Way song)

[edit]

The article Save the World (Adelitas Way song) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No notablity here. It didn't chart. Self-published or primary sources. Loudwire "articles" are glorified press releases.

208.81.212.222 (talk) 01:05, 24 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
