A comprehensive index for editors

Sometimes, it might be useful to look up a subject in the same way you would do so in a book‍—‌in the index. Wikipedia has an index. To use it‍—‌it is available at the editor's index to Wikipedia.

Although it is called an "editor's index", it is really intended to be an index for anyone involved with Wikipedia in other than the role of a reader. Most of the topics are directly relevant to editing of articles, but some topics are less directly relevant to editing.

RE:My Chemical Romance

[edit]

to upload an image you must have permission by the owner or if you took it yourself license it under the creative commons. But as Gerald is a member of My Chemical Romance you may just have to go to their website and use the images they released to the creative commons. Rgoodermote  16:33, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also you can not use an image that has been labeled copyrighted on your userpage per comment here Rgoodermote  20:03, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

You have been misusing this website and treating it as if it were MySpace. This is an encyclopedia and your contributions do not reflect that. I have deleted your userpage as userpages are to be used to help the project, and I have also blanked all of the idle chit chat here.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 07:39, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies

[edit]

I said this at Becca's page too. I apologize that User:Ryulong deleted your user page. I told Becca that this is your chance to get it straight. Make constructive edits. You have a clean slate as of right now. Don't take offense at this. I'll help you if you want help. Take a look at WP:NOT#MYSPACE for more info. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions - 08:01, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to him, this is your last chance. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions - 08:14, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank goodness you're on. I have an assignment for you. Look at the page Twilight (series) and do a peer edit of it. Make edits as you wish. Have fun! — Cuyler91093 - Contributions - 02:14, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Last Time

[edit]

This is THE LAST TIME that I will tell you this. WHEN ADDING TO PEOPLE'S TALK PAGES, MAKE A NEW SECTION IF IT'S NOT UNDER YOUR DISCUSSION!!!! You have done this so many times, and I have reminded you AND Becca time after time, and you always ignore me! Please listen to me. Please! It's getting on my nerves! — Cuyler91093 - Contributions - 02:39, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Peer edit

[edit]

You're kidding, right? Sorry, but I thought you would've done it tons of times in class. It's when you review the works of someone else (a peer). — Cuyler91093 - Contributions - 00:02, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New Page

[edit]

Okay, make a page entitled whatever your school's name is (type it fully out). It will say "Create this article" or something along the lines of that. Click it. Type whatever you want about your school! See Wikipedia:Cheatsheet for detailed info on how to format your page. Your page should have a "History" section, as well as a 2-3 paragraph long introduction. When you're done, I'll show you templates for your school. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions - 00:29, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What is the full name of your previous school? — Cuyler91093 - Contributions - 00:33, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okey dokey! Click here and follow the directions. After you're done, remove the <!-- --> tags at the beginning and end. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions - 00:45, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Olympians?

[edit]
Give me a link, and give me more descriptions. There could be a number of reasons. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 20:52, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Read Talk:Twelve Olympians#Confusion over "Twelve Olympians" for details. People are involved in an edit conflict, I think, and with vandalism, &c, administrators have protected it. If you want to add something, follow the directions in the template. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 21:15, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also see WP:Protection policy for a complete explanation of why pages are protected. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 21:17, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't get mad. Just find another page and edit that one instead. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 21:51, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit My Chemical Romance. It's only semi-protected, meaning that all older registered users can edit it. I think your account is old enough. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 22:02, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, see WP:WikiProject My Chemical Romance, and if you are interested in joining, see WP:WikiProject My Chemical Romance/Members. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cuyler91093 (talkcontribs) 22:04, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I contributed a bit to it. I really don't know a whole lot about the subject, but I hope I helped, somewhat. ~ Bella Swan 23:02, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit

[edit]

Then do grammar edits! Spelling edits, whatever you can do. Also, see WP:Peer review and edit a page there. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 22:14, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Berkeley High School

[edit]

Click here and edit your high middle school page. When you're done, tell me, and I'll move it to the main encyclopedia. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 07:27, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Whatever you want. Just edit it.
You don't need to know all of that stuff about it. Just remove what is not necessary. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 19:01, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Again, just delete what isn't necessary. If your school wasn't a religious school, delete |religion = . —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cuyler91093 (talkcontribs) 19:02, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Adminship

[edit]

To vote you go to the support section and give a proper reason. Have Cuyler help you out with it he has already voted, I doubt a win is in the future so so voting is not really necessary right now...but if you like it is fine to do (knew a win was impossible but I wanted to know other opinions for my next attempt). As for the Berkley Page I could help but I have no idea what to do as I know nothing about the facility. Rgoodermote  19:26, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You've been loved by Cuyler91093

[edit]
Hey there! Cuyler91093 has loved you by placing a heart icon in the top-right corner of your userpage. Don't worry, it's not vandalism, but simply a small way to spread the WikiLove. If you don't really like it, feel free to revert it and make it go away, and no hard feelings; after all, it's just a small token of appreciation. If you like it, just add your name here, but again, there's no need to feel upset if you don't. Love and best wishes, — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 07:12, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been Wikiloved by me! Thank you for being so good at trying to edit pages. Also, in real life, you are very kind and caring to others. You truly deserve Wikilove. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 07:12, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Whatever

[edit]

I'm yelling at you? I'm asking you nicely. Watch. When you contribute more, other people will tell you that it's not good. Trust me. And watch it, because I felt a little bit of hostility in there. And if I was yelling at you, do you know why? It's because you don't listen to me. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 19:50, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You can find it out yourself. You're not dumb, and if I could find out how, then you can, too. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 19:52, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
As much as I sympathize, I kindly ask that you stop complaining. I'm having a bad day. — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 21:56, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I am. I'm going to the doctor's office in an hour. Have fun editing! — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 18:53, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are you only adding three tildes? Please add four. The only exception is when they direct you to add only three. Thanks! — Cuyler91093 - Contributions 19:05, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RE:Message on Talk Page

[edit]

I need to tell you that using smilies on a Wikipedia can get you in trouble (I have changed it). I have noticed Cuyler has been inactive for a while make sure he knows I hope he is better and also if he does not know I lost the RfA. I need to know what aqua knows so I can assign her assignments, I have been unable to do so and again if you need any help just ask. I will respond at night.Rgoodermote  23:12, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Colonial Williamsburg

[edit]

If you can find a reliable source online to verify your information go for it. But remember WP:NPOV and Wikipedia:Citing sources. Those are the two most important guidelines here. If you need help verifying information just ask me. Rgoodermote  23:23, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

O and one more thing, thanks I have been wanting to assign something to aqua for a while but I know very little about here. Rgoodermote  23:23, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Assignment

[edit]

Oh, alright. First off, it's the time of the month to archive your talk page. Do you remember how to do that? I showed you last month I think. Well, first, move this page to User talk:Awesome93/Archive 2. Then, open this page in a new window, and add:

{{Archive}}
{{User:Cuyler91093/Secret page/Barnstar}}
{{totd}}
{{User talk:Awesome93/Archive box}}

... to your new page. It should work. Archiving talk pages is a very important part of Wikipedia. When you're done with that, let me know that you're ready for your next assignment! — Cuyler91093 - Соитяівцтіоиѕ 04:55, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
