[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Weather station. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. --Awekas (talk) 11:23, 18 February 2011 (UTC) We are a non profit organisation. (look at our website!) This not an advertising! AWEKAS is similar WEDAAL, Findu, Wounderground... Wikipedia is a dictionary. So one of the most biggest weather networks should be in it. If you delete AWEKAS you have to delete all entries.... Sorry but this is not a good policy. look german similar page : http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wetterbeobachtung - AWEKAS can also be found in text area
- I Assume you meant to say Wikipedia is a "directory", but this simply isn't true. In addition, the term "promotion" on Wikipedia extends to all projects, products, organizations, etc. An organization being non-profit, a product not being available to the public, or a project being open source, do not exempt them from our advertising and conflict of interest policies. --Awekas (talk) 15:49, 18 February 2011 (UTC) I assume wikipedia is a directory. BUT why you list wounderground, findu or wedaal? If you list nothing or you have to strive to list all. This is no promotion - this is a attempt to complete this dictionary. But if you are not interested - let it be. BUT i think this is the wrong way to block "non US" communities. So wikipedia will be subject to censorship from a hand of people. Not a dictionary for the open community. You are right wikipedia is no promotion or advertising dictionary but then you have to delete ALL !!! entries at Weather Station Networks.... This is ABSOLUTE the same
- If you believe an entry in a list is non notable or promotional in nature you are free to either be bold and remove it yourself or bring it up for discussion on the article's talk page. Regardless, others wrongdoing does not excuse your own. OSborn arfcontribs. 20:02, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
