Greetings. I appreciate you adding information to the Courier-Journal, but it looks like you copied and pasted that information from somewhere on the web. Where did the info come from?

Due to the nature of Wikipedia, we can't include stuff where we don't own the copyright. (The copyright holders could sue us.) Because of that, I'm going to revert your changes - no offense. If you have the energy, it would be great if you could add the information back in, in your own words. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. – Quadell (talk) (sleuth) 21:21, Mar 21, 2005 (UTC)

It's really no big deal, it's dealt with now. Thanks for your note though. Feel free to review Wikipedia:Copyright though, copy-and-paste articles are almost never okay on Wikipedia. --W.marsh 15:29, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of TheThoughtfulChristian.com, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.thethoughtfulchristian.com/Main/AboutUs.asp. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 18:00, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the guide to donating your own copyrighted material to Wikipedia. Note that, in addition to copyright requirements, the article must still comply with notability guidelines, advertising prohibition and avoid conflicts of interest. — Coren (talk) 18:07, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on TheThoughtfulChristian.com, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --ROGER DAVIES TALK 18:38, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted this edit from 2005: https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Elder_(religious)&diff=11434765&oldid=11373018

It appears to be a copy and paste from a Presbyterian Church Book of Order, so the way it was used in Wikipedia without obvious attribution or fair use may infringe copyright and author's moral rights.

For example, it is almost identical to the PC(USA) Book of Order G-6.0300 on page 53 of http://www.pcusa.org/media/uploads/oga/publications/2009-2011-boo.pdf

Speedy deletion nomination of George Watts (actor)

[edit]

Hello Awbuckley,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged George Watts (actor) for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
