I appreciate the editorial concern, but the datamoshing page refers to an established term within the realm of video art. I realize the page is currently bereft of much content, but it will grow. I believe it to be unfair to editorialize this technique's existence off of wikipedia.
You're having far too much fun!
(I like the mirror effect, but because many people use individual settings, the font and width aren't consistent, at my end)
I'll leave a welcome template below the warning templates. If you're going to continue to experiment in artistic ways, please revert your own edits afterwards, so as not to confuse the casual visitors. Thanks. -- Quiddity (talk) 04:59, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Datamoshing
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Datamoshing, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Non-notable, cannot find any reliable source that uses the term. Please see WP:NEO. It will probably gain notoriety soon enough, just not now.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Image copyright problem with File:Salvatore robocop.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Salvatore robocop.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 04:30, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Talkback
[edit]I appreciate the editorial concern, but the datamoshing page refers to an established term within the realm of video art. I realize the page is currently bereft of much content, but it will grow. I believe it to be unfair to editorialize this technique's existence off of wikipedia.
- We have rather strict rules on sourcing, and content without sourcing can and will be challenged. Sometimes tagging is found to be sufficient because a realistic expectation of improvement is there. I simply see this as WP:NEO, when the term becomes notable, then it should have a page. Of course, perhaps the community feels it might be ready, but I remain unconvinced.
- BTW: Template:Talkback has some things about the TB process, which you didn't quite get, although I am all in favor of using it. For example, it is customary to start threads in the target user page, and only use TB to indicate you responded to the user somewhere else... TB is never used to initiate conversations.--Cerejota (talk) 05:02, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
- WP:NEO to wit:
“ | Articles on neologisms frequently attempt to track the emergence and use of the term as observed in communities of interest or on the internet—without attributing these claims to reliable secondary sources. If the article is not verifiable [...] then it constitutes analysis, synthesis and original research and consequently cannot be accepted by Wikipedia. This is true even though there may be many examples of the term in use. | ” |
- You understand this point?--Cerejota (talk) 05:05, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Korn, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. The reverted edit can be found here. Thank you. →♠Gƒoley↔Four♣← 06:00, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
The file File:Noshtimstrebor2.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unused Wikipedia screenshot. Out of scope.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 10:36, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
