Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! - Hi Mattdaviesfsic! Sorry that was my first edit so I was a little all over the place. Thank you for changing my section to improve readability and removing unnecessary parts! AvidWriter123 (talk) 17:30, 29 August 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Liverpool Street station, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 09:43, 19 November 2022 (UTC)
- Oh oops, Sorry what did I delete? :) Very sorry. AvidWriter123 (talk) 09:44, 19 November 2022 (UTC)
- The 379 and 317 aren't in service anymore so I removed it. Sorry for any inconvenience. AvidWriter123 (talk) 09:47, 19 November 2022 (UTC)
Some stroopwafels for you!
[edit]Thanks for your edits over the last few months to various train stations. Be good to see you expand on other articles, like rolling stock articles and TOCs (e.g., Southern (Govia Thameslink Railway), if you wanted to, of course! Thanks once again! Mattdaviesfsic (talk) 10:04, 11 December 2022 (UTC) |
Thank you so much! I have edited a few rolling stock pages (the current one that is still the latest edit, is the 465 one and my picture is used in the Southern GTR page as well but it can’t hurt to edit more pages. While I have got your attention, can you help with the Gatwick airport station page? Gatwick Express changed their service today and now off peak services call at Haywards Heath all day but I can’t seem to reflect this in the service table without me messing it up. I was wondering if you may be able to? Thanks in advance :) And thanks for the waffles as well! AvidWriter123 (talk) 10:09, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
- Good shout, thanks. Will take a look now. Mattdaviesfsic (talk) 10:11, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
- Done Thanks again, and let me know of anything else you spot - those service boxes are quite hard to grasp until you get used to them! Mattdaviesfsic (talk) 10:25, 11 December 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Danners430. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, British Rail Class 377, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Wikipedia is based on Verifiability not Truth. You cannot remove sourced content then replace it with unsourced material - if there's a source to back up the changes, then obviously add that. Danners430 (talk) 19:36, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
- I do not appreciate this condescending tone, thank you very much, I am well aware how to add citations, and edit pages. AvidWriter123 (talk) 19:39, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
