[edit]

Please stop posting images with incorrect or misssing source and licence information. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:44, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • how do I post correct source? those images come with permission from a daughter of the singer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AuthorAngelozi (talkcontribs)

Assuming these images are available on a free licence, then they should, obviously, be uploaded to the Commons so the articles about the woman in Russian, Georgian, etc. can also use them. Assuming, as you say, they come with permission, then please go back and get much higher resolution versions. Then post them, stating the source and applying an appropriate licence as dicussed in file copyright tags, eg. {{cc-by-2.5}}. Providing the images do not already appear on the web, then your claim will probably be believed. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:13, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your two latest uploads are definitely unsatisfactorily licensed - I simply do not believe your claim that you hold the copyright. Also in the case of File:Lamara4-1.jpg, please crop the white space before you re-upload. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:20, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  1. I used the option of releasing the images into public domain
  2. alas, the daughter is not able to provide higher resolution images
  3. why do you sound so hostile?

Did you actually read what the {{PD-self}} tag expands to? "I, the copyright holder of this work, hereby release it into the public domain." That is patently false. I would say that I am blunt rather than hostile but do you wonder when I see a false statement like that? Wikipedia:Media copyright questions seems to be the place to seek advice. I suggest you go there, explaining clearly exactly how you obtined these images. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:59, 20 October 2010 (UTC) yes, you are right, wasn't the best choice; I have already explained how did i get the pictures - please see above - fromthe daughter of the singer... Copyright explanations seem to be extremly complex & confusing that's why I very much appreciate constructive feedback, rather beeing accused of providing false statements Wikipedia gidelines say not everything has to be perfect, mistakes can be corrected later which I strive to do... I'd like to see your wikipedia articles so I do better - would you kindly advise what they are?[reply]
