Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one of your recent edits to Global warming controversy has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Use the Roundabout, mate

Hi, I see you're a new editor (great!) and you're editing in a contentious area (climate change). To keep from falling on your butt in the kangaroo poo, here are some things you should know

  • Study WP:CONSENSUS
  • After you get reverted, you should start a thread here (at the article talk page) to discuss the matter and try to reach consensus, a process known as WP:BRD
  • If you can't agree at the talk page, we have several ways to proceed, described at WP:DISPUTE
  • Repeating your edits without discussion is DISRUPTIVE and is known as an WP:EDITWAR, which we don't like and can earn you some sort of WP:SANCTION, the goal of which is not punishment but to get you to follow this stuff in the future, so you might as well start now.
  • In anything doing with climate, DISCRETIONARY SANCTIONS apply, according to a decision of our arbitration process (ruling at WP:ARBCC

Welcome to wiki! We could use more interested editors, but only ones who want to do teamwork using these processes to improve articles. Part of that is providing what wikipedia defines as reliable sources to back up your proposals, and to assign each an appropriate amount of WP:WEIGHT.
