Applology accepted, so how do i change my username to my personal name? so not to have conflicting id's

You have to make a request at Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple. --Bongwarrior (talk) 00:17, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

and what is regarded as verifiable sources, i have linked to the IMDB webpage, that clearly states the career of Anton Dickson/ Anton Z Risan, as being the same person

IMDB is a start, but generally isn't considered reliable by itself. Some sort of unbiased third-party print or online news articles with a reputation for accurate information is what we're looking for. --Bongwarrior (talk) 00:17, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok great, i just submitted a request to change my username to antonZrisan to make things easier, ok, and i will see if i can find additional resources to verify etc, after the berlin film festival there will be surely more written stuff etc i'm sure,

thank you for your help, kind regards anton]

Do not create pages that attack, threaten, or disparage their subject. Attack pages and files are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who create or add such material may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Bongwarrior (talk) 23:39, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please accept my apologies. It appears that you don't intend to disparage anyone. However, all biographical articles must include proper sourcing, especially when making claims that could be considered defamatory, or they will be subject to deletion. --Bongwarrior (talk) 23:54, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (Atelier-az-phootgraphy) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization or adding links to its website.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. The article in question is Anton dickson. Thank you. Escape Orbit (Talk) 23:56, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your only warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you add inappropriate external links, as you did with this edit to Anton dickson. Sp33dyphil ©© 23:57, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would ignore this warning. I don't know what Sp33dyphil is complaining about. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 00:23, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

[edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. There's just a couple of points I'd like to raise about your recent editing.

  • First of all, regarding external links and verifiable sources, I think you'll find Wikipedia:Verifiability a useful guide to referencing. Another page you might find useful is Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not (it clarifies what we're all about; and by we, I include you as you're now a Wikipedian too). Some other good pages are Wikipedia:External links and Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons as these will help you to avoid inadvertently adding any controversial content.
  • Secondly, if your current username and your proposed username (as mentioned above) are any indication, I suspect you are the same Anton Z. Risan described in the Wikipedia article. If that is the case, I urge you to read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Don't be put off, though. A lot of notable people edit on Wikipedia. I think there's even a list somewhere. The main point you need to be aware of, though, is that people editing articles about themselves can find it very difficult to maintain neutrality. And neutrality is as big a policy on Wikipedia as is verifiability.
  • Incidentally, I suggest you think carefully regarding your username (whether current or proposed). On the one hand, claiming a username so closely associated to your real world identity is an honest and forthright way of declaring any possible conflicts of interest. Many of us do similar on our userpages by declaring social affiliations, political views, sexuality or ethnicity or any of a number of other possible sources of contention. On the other hand, if you are the real Anton Risan, you might want to consider whether having such a username may make you too accessible to anyone who wants to contact you. Ultimately, we're here to build an encyclopedia and unsolicited fan mail will hinder that for you at least as much as for the rest of us.

Nonetheless, as I said earlier, don't be put off from editing Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome so long as they're here to edit constructively not destructively. If you have any questions or need some advice about anything, feel free to contact me on my talk page. I hope you enjoy being here, and happy editing. This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Anton Dickson, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines.
Your edit here to Anton Dickson was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://honk-magazine.blogspot.com/2011/05/read-short-interview-with-multifaceted.html) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 18:40, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not write an article about yourself, as you did at Anton Dickson. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. It appears that the above article is auto-biographical in nature Carl Sixsmith (talk) 18:58, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
