Request on 17:33:50, 1 September 2021 for assistance on AfC submission by Kydzacharian

Hello Asukite ! This Composer is notable of Albania and his biography is on SQ Wikipedia (Albanian Wikipedia /Shqip Wikipedia).
Can you help to review this article becuase all information is exclusive and verified from the institution/media.
- Hello Kydzacharian (talk · contribs) - I checked the sqwiki page for this and found one source we can potentially use here: the obituary on gazetadita.al - it's okay to use non-english sources here, so if you have any more in Albanian or any other language, feel free to include them. The main holdup for approving this draft is that we have to have good sources to ensure it doesn't just get marked for deletion. You can see WP:GNG, WP:NMUSICIAN and WP:THREE for some pointers on what sort of sources we need. I see that we have IMDB there now, but per WP:IMDB we can't count that toward notability. Hope this helps! ASUKITE 18:48, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!

Dear Asukite; Thank you very much for reviewing Hold on to Your Hats (disambiguation) today, and for fixing the musical comedy as the primary topic; I had hesitated about doing the same and I am glad you were more decisive than me! Thank you also for all your other contributions to our encyclopaedia. With kind regards; Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(become old-fashioned!) 17:07, 7 September 2021 (UTC) |
Lightning Lane AfC
Hello, this is the user that made the page Draft:Lightning Lane. Thank you for your comment on the submission, but I'm not sure where to go from here. Should I continue to edit/expand/work on the page or should I just leave it be? Also as someone new to Wikipedia is it appropriate to post questions like this on people's Talk pages or where would be the better place to respond to a comment?
Thank you, RD24 Reasonable Doubt24 (talk) 04:21, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, I only commented because at the moment I can't perform a review (due to work-related firewall issues) It's likely based on a google search that Lightning Lane is notable (as are most things Disney-related), I only left the comment because it seems that Lightning Lane is an extension of FastPass. If you want to continue working on it, please do! I never want to get in the way. Once you click "submit" you are asking somebody to review the article in its current state. I will say that the pricing info probably doesn't fit, but Lightning Lane is definitely notable. I wanted to mention that if Lightning Lane is the replacement for FastPass, it might benefit our readers that both topics be combined into one article, but that is an issue best determined by more than just one opinion. Thank you, I thought you had made the review and declined the request. Sorry for any confusion. Reasonable Doubt24 (talk) 12:54, 10 September 2021 (UTC) Reasonable Doubt24 (talk) 12:54, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
Please reopen
Hello. On the Buddha page you closed, please realize that the RM was "frozen" between September 4 and September 12 because of another discussion and so has actually only gone one day. Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 03:30, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. Enjoy all Buddhahoods! Randy Kryn (talk) 03:46, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know so promptly! If it had been any longer I might have caused disruption. Cheers, ASUKITE 03:51, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
New Page Patrol newsletter September 2021
Hello Asukite/Archives/2021,
Please join this discussion - there is increase in the abuse of Wikipedia and its processes by POV pushers, Paid Editors, and by holders of various user rights including Autopatrolled. Even our review systems themselves at AfC and NPR have been infiltrated. The good news is that detection is improving, but the downside is that it creates the need for a huge clean up - which of course adds to backlogs.
Copyright violations are also a serious issue. Most non-regular contributors do not understand why, and most of our Reviewers are not experts on copyright law - and can't be expected to be, but there is excellent, easy-to-follow advice on COPYVIO detection here.
At the time of the last newsletter (#25, December 2020) the backlog was only just over 2,000 articles. New Page Review is an official system. It's the only firewall against the inclusion of new, improper pages.
There are currently 706 New Page Reviewers plus a further 1,080 admins, but as much as nearly 90% of the patrolling is still being done by around only the 20 or so most regular patrollers.
If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process or its software.
Various awards are due to be allocated by the end of the year and barnstars are overdue. If you would like to manage this, please let us know. Indeed, if you are interested in coordinating NPR, it does not involve much time and the tasks are described here.
