I don't know what I'm doing. I'm the Advancement Director for Shiner Catholic School. The Wikipedia page lists our school incorrectly. I just want to update the pertinent information. If I'm seen as too close to the content, how do we get changes made? I handle all social media and all PR for our school. What I want to be changed the most is to change the Title from St. Paul High School to Shiner Catholic School. Our school one name - Shiner Catholic School - but we have a name for our high school and a different name for our elementary school. We try to use Shiner Catholic School as an umbrella name for the entire school.

How do I do this?

Hello Ann Slatter, welcome to Wikipedia. First of all you should properly disclose that you are a paid editor who edits Wikipedia as part of their job. The easiest way to do so is to add the following code to your user page (at User:Aslatter): {{paid|employer=Shiner Catholic School}} (if I got the formal name of your employer wrong, please adapt that). When the bureaucracy is dealt with, it's considered best practice for editors with a coflict of interest such as yourself to not edit the article in question directly but rather to propose specific changes on the article's talk page (St. Paul High School (Shiner, Texas)) and to leave it for uninvolved editors to implement the change. Regarding your specific issue, Wikipedia generally considers high schools notable enough to be article subjects, but not primary schools (at least not merely for being primary schools). changing the subject

Hello Aslatter, You are changing the subject of St. Paul High School (Shiner, Texas) without discussing it with other Wikipedia editors. A change of this type should be proposed on the article talk page and not made until consensus is reached. In addition; because of your connection to the school you should not be directly editing the article. Any changes you would like to see should be proposed on the talk page and left of other editors to be implemented if appropriate. See the conflict of interest guide mentioned above. Help me!

Can someone please update the page called St. Paul High School?

Please help me with...

I don't know what I'm doing. I would like the page about St. Paul High School in Shiner, Texas to be called Shiner Catholic School. We are a very small, Pre-K3 through 12th grade school. We have a total of 298 students in Grades PreK3 - 12. It is VERY confusing to have the name St. Paul High School out there. It may not seem that big of a deal to Wikipedida, but we are trying to get people to start saying Shiner Catholic School. The school made the change to ONE name, twenty years ago, but we are trying to fix the issue everywhere. This is what I would like to propose for the editors at Wikipedia:

1. Change the name at the top of the page to Shiner Catholic School. It would be great if it could have the names St. Paul High School & St. Ludmila Elementary under the words Shiner Catholic School. (see our school website as an example) 2. We added a new building at the end of last year and I'd like for that information to stay (I put that earlier today before I found out that I couldn't change it myself). 3. We want to use the name Shiner Catholic School on all of our marketing items. When someone Googles our school, they may not know the Saint name that is used at the elementary school or high school. We want them to be able to find the Catholic School that is in Shiner, regardless of the St. Paul or St. Ludmila. 4. Under the background, that is where the information about St. Ludmila and eventually St. Paul can be included.

I hope I'm using this talk feature correctly. This is not very easy for a non-tech person like me. I'm good at posting things online but not this sort of stuff. If anyone wants to talk to me, that would be even better. Is that possible? [REDACTED - Oshwah]

Hi Aslatter. A couple of things before we start: I can't see what you put at the end but it appears to have been removed by an oversighter, meaning it contained personal information or contact details. It is very important that you do not publish such details on Wikipedia, use the help me template and someone will be with you. Secondly, St. Paul High School (Shiner, Texas), the page to which you refer, is currently awaiting copyright violation revision deletion. It appears that you added the content which a reviewer found to violate copyright. Please ensure that anything you add to Wikipedia cannot be copied from anywhere else, even if you own that copyright. With regards to changing the name of the article, you are welcome to file a request at requested moves. Please let me know if you need further advice.
