Hi @Jfire can you please help me remove the the article "Wowo Fortes" as I have accidentally made it a redirect. Thank you so much! Asian.red (talk) 04:12, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I redirected it to Manuel “Wowo” Laurio Fortes. Are you going to keep editing Manuel “Wowo” Laurio Fortes? Right now it is at risk of being deleted because it doesn't comply with Wikipedia's policies regarding reliable sources and notability. Jfire (talk) 04:17, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Superstar! Thank you so much. I'll make sure to follow the policies and make the edits right away. Thank you again! Asian.red (talk) 04:20, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Jfire just a quick question, is it possible to edit the Title of the Article?
from Manuel “Wowo” Laurio Fortes
to Manuel “Wowo” Laurio Fortes Jr.
The "Jr." is the addition to the Title
or it needs to be redirected? Asian.red (talk) 04:57, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

We do not need to delete the wiki page because the citations are now being added. It is important the page is published since the information about the district representative of Sorsogon is essential to be publicized Asian.red (talk) 09:20, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That's not how this works, you don't first publish an unreferenced article about someone, and then later on possibly add sources to it. The article should be based on reliable published sources in the first place, and those sources must be cited as references. This is important for any article, but especially one on a living person (WP:BLP). If only you had left this in the draft space, it could have gone through a proper review before being published, and it wouldn't now be at deletion discussion. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:40, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for replying. My sincerest apologies, I am still familiarizing on how to use the sandbox and its other functions, the tabs. I am still exploring the interface and reading the guidelines. The wiki page creation is new to me and I am studying how to use it If you can please consider the reviewing of the page and not delete it. Asian.red (talk) 10:02, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Asian.red. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:41, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate all the help you are extending me. I am not related to the person/topic of the wiki page I am trying to publish. I am so sorry that I was not able to put my references on time, I was just not really familiarized with the tools and tabs. I really do hope you will consider my request. Thank you. Asian.red (talk) 10:36, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not suggesting you're related to this person, but I do think you have some sort of a relationship with them. Your very first edit was the creation of an extensive draft on this person, and since then your entire edit history has to do with this one subject. There's presumably a reason for that? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:39, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Asian.red, you don't need to remove the deletion template from the article. I can see that you're repeatedly attempting to do that. Just wait for the discussion to end and someone else will remove the template. The article is not going to be deleted now. Jfire (talk) 02:45, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi,
I appreciate your guidance and want to assure you that I’m making every effort to comply with Wikipedia’s policies. I’ve made progress in following the guidelines and would appreciate a review of my edits. My apologies for the deletion template issue, I was trying to save my edits in the sandbox and mistakenly clicked publish. Could you please list the specific requirements I need to meet so I can fully comply? Here’s the draft where I made the edits - https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Manuel_%E2%80%9CWowo%E2%80%9D_Laurio_Fortes,_Jr.&action=edit Asian.red (talk) 07:36, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
