You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is only being used for vandalism. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Mifter (talk) 06:23, 1 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

May I please be unblocked. I was being immature 9 years ago as a teenager. Won't happen again. Thanks. Ashwinr136 (talk) 23:27, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Close duplicate request placed in a section header. Edits should be placed only in the larger edit window, not the smaller section header/edit summary window. You can avoid creating section headers entirely by clicking "edit" and not "add topic" or "new section". 331dot (talk) 09:15, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I'm inclined to give you another chance(and I don't think Mifter will object), but I would like some idea as to what edits you intend to make, such as what articles or topic areas. 331dot (talk) 09:16, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello 331dot I don't plan on making any edits to any pages, a family friend asked me to create a Wikipedia page for him that would serve as a biography. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ashwinr136 (talkcontribs)

Wikipedia has articles, not pages, that make up the encyclopedia. (An article is a page but not every page is an article). It is inadvisable to dive right in to creating articles until you have some editing experience and know what is being looked for in article content. It is a conflict of interest for yourself to write about a family friend; is this friend a notable person as Wikipedia defines it? (The test to see if someone merits an article) Do they receive significant coverage in independent reliable sources like news reports, books, scholarly research? 331dot (talk) 12:13, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your friend might wish to see how an article about themselves is not necessarily a good thing. 331dot (talk) 12:14, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
