Article

Hi Ashu. As you have reviewed many articles in the past for GA criteria, especially Hindi films, I just wanted to ask you if Dabangg has the potential to become GA. I made a few changes to it, and if you think it looks good enough to start a GA assessment review, I shall nominate it. Thanks. X.One SOS 16:17, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

Sure, will go through it. Was busy converting the same article on Hindi wiki before. ASHUIND 18:20, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
Very well. Let me know if it is good enough. X.One SOS 08:38, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
As far as I can see, it qualifies for GA. little alteration will be needed but they can be discussed in GA assessment. ASHUIND 14:47, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Thanks a lot, I have nominated it. X.One SOS 18:15, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

What did you think about the deletion notice you received?

Hi Ashliveslove,

In November you received a message about either "Nomination for deletion" or "Proposed deletion" of an article you created. I'd like to ask you a few quick questions:

  1. Was the message helpful? Were the instructions clear and easy to follow?
  2. If not, how do you think the message could be improved?
  3. What do you think about the deletion process in general? Do you understand how to contest a deletion?

You can feel free to answer on my talk page or send me your response by email (mpinchuk@wikimedia.org). (I won't quote you or link your answers to your username if you don't feel comfortable with that.) Your feedback is incredibly useful for improving the content of deletion notifications, so please take a minute to think about and answer these questions. Thank you! Don 2

Could you please take a moment to review Don 2 for a GA....Thanks :D --Meryam90 (talk) 12:33, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

And, Ashu, just a request. If you do review Don 2, could I also express my opinions about the film in midst, just for satisfaction? If yes, please leave me a note when you start. Thanks and regards. X.One SOS 13:30, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for reviewing Don 2; you reviewed Ra.One too didn't you :P ? Keep it up. Whenever you start, just inform me and I'll also pip in (though I've barely contributed to the article itself LOL). ~*~AnkitBhatt~*~ 07:55, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
I have addressed some of the issues and problems you have pointed out. --Meryam90 (talk) 10:39, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Thanks Ashu. I'll go through the article shortly. X.One SOS 12:06, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
So you just decided to fail it based on ONE reviewer's behavior? He isn't even a main contributer...I believe you have let your emotions take a huge stand here esp that I have fixed the issue myself and the rest was an option of one editor.--Meryam90 (talk) 20:03, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Its not my concern now. When statement about reviewer's worthiness is objected he/she can't continue the review process. If anyone sees these kind of discussion in review process they can object the neutrality of the review. Your article don't have much issues. Its a valid article for GA. With minor tweaks it'll pass the GA next time. Have patience. Apply after some time. You have waited for months for it, you can surely manage few days. Till then try to put it in peer review to solve this budget concerns once and for all becoz every new reviewer reads the previous review to see what kind of problems he/she will have to face. ASHUIND 20:14, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
But I have asked you to review because I trusted your opinion and judgment (I am a GA reviewer myself) and as stated in your Userpage, you have reviewed 11 articles already and none of them were objected or reassessed. One opinion regarding you shouldn't make you react so...emotionally. You could of just went away and calmed down. No fail the article all together. That where I'm upset about. Anyway. I will fix the issue of the Box office gross (not budget) and then I'll put it up for review, and I hope you would again be the reviewer (regardless of what anyone else may think about you. It's their opinion...) --Meryam90 (talk) 20:28, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Hope you're doing well. Yes, it was unfortunate that the article failed. However, I have a question : I was an unofficial reviewer this time, right. The next time it is nominated, can I review it officially? Because, I am not a major contributor in the first place. I've done only 50 edits to that article and all of them include copy-editing and prose fixes. Also, I have listed out a whole bunch of suggestions in the "comments" section and suggested that the nominators work on it before proceeding to the next step. So, any ideas? X.One SOS 05:52, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
Sorry but the three of you wont be able to review the article since in one way or the another you all will be considered as contributors. All i wanted to display was to make you people learn to have patience. Yar har jagah garam dimag se kaam nahi hota. Just for review purpose accept that yes we will update the score when correct amount is available. I appreciate that you guys take so much effort in creating nice articles but when issue is of reviewing it you have to keep your calm. You guys did the same thing in Ra.One and what happnd after it's GA? There were objections regarding it of being a GA. You know that very well. I stopped contributing to major articles coz else there will be very less reviewers available to review Indian Film articles quickly. You can see the case with The Dirty Picture. Its still laying there for the review (the last time saw). I wanted to review that one too but hav done small editing there so was unable to proceed. As i said to the nominator. Put the article through peer review so that these situations can be solved for future articles too. ASHUIND 06:05, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
I'm sorry, "three of you"? Please don't involve me into that issue. I left it ever since my last comment. Thanks. X.One SOS 06:43, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
Oh! U didnt get it. I was not talking about you regarding issue. I was talking about your part in creating the article. Don't misunderstand. ASHUIND
I don't think so. Only major contributors cannot review their article. Minor contributors are always welcome. I'll give you an example. I have been involved with Paiyaa, which is now a GA. The reviewer, User:MathewTownsend is the second largest contributor and I must say, a very experienced editor. But he copy-edited the whole article and made around 30 edits to it. X.One SOS 15:34, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
No problem with that. But just be on safe side and see how they define the major contributor. It'll be nice to have more Indian reviewers for Hindi films. ASHUIND 17:14, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
