Hello, Ashley.restel, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Minor edits should not add sentences and references

[edit]

Information icon Hi Ashley.restel! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Animal-assisted therapy that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Thank you so much for clarifying the difference between the two. There is definitely a steep learning curve with Wiki. Ashley.restel (talk) 01:00, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
