Comments on Bibliography

[edit]

Ash: Several problems here. First, the format of your bibliography needs to be changed. Please list your sources, and provide sufficient information that someone could actually track them down (for web pages, provide the URL). Second, almost all your sources are web-based material, when there are some good sources listed in the spreadsheet such as Jensen and Kusrini. You have only contributed a few sources to the spreadsheet, one of which comes from a turtle supplier and is not appropriate (I have removed this).Njclum (talk) 01:46, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Rough Draft

[edit]

The Asiatic soft-shell Turtle is an omnivore this specific turtle will feed of** of plants and animals when given the chance. The turtle has the ability to stay under water for long period**(S?) of time because of his gill like structure, making him be able to sneak up on his prey. The Soft-shoell** turtle likes to eat a variety of foods among those are crab, fish, insects, worms, eggs, amphibians, crustaceans and sometimes bird carcasses. When these Asiatic soft-shell Turtles can't find meat they will choose to eat berries, nuts and plant seeds. One specific example of a non meat food these turtles choose to much** on are rubber tree seeds. These turtles will do most of their hunting and foraging during the night hours. As with most animals depending on the habitat of each turtle the diet does change slightly. Ashley.campbell (talk) 23:39, 20 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Ashley, there are a few spelling errors in your rough draft. I added stars next to places that I thought had an error. I also don't see your citations. Other than that I think that it looks good. You gave many examples of the food they eat and when they eat Good job! --KaraLee7110 (talk) 22:34, 27 November 2016 (UTC)Kara[reply]

Comments on Rough Draft

[edit]

Ash: This needs some copy-editing to smooth it out, but otherwise it's good. I would switch your last and second to last sentences. Is there any more specific information given on the plant species consumed (i.e., scientific names) or any indication of the relative proportion of foods, or seasonality of foods?Njclum (talk) 23:09, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
