Can you please provide a source for the mid-70's conversion? Thanks. BMK (talk) 18:32, 16 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I see one of the problems. 1985 was when it became the Palladium nightclub. Are you saying that it spent time as a concert venue called The Palladium from the mid-70s until then? This article from the Times dates the opening of the night club to 1985, so we still need a source for the mid-70's name change, if that's what you're claiming. Thanks for inquiring about the Palladium name change. To answer your question: yes, the former Academy of Music staged countless concerts as "The Palladium" in the 1970s. When it became a nightclub, the building was transformed but the name was maintained.

Here is an example of an indirect citation at Setlist.fm, which lists many concerts at the Palladium in the 1970s:

http://www.setlist.fm/venue/the-palladium-new-york-ny-usa-13d6c9cd.html

In fact, this helps to set the exact date of the name change to 1976, and I'd like to edit the Wikipedia page to add this detail. But will this serve as a citation? Please help me understand what the correct way to cite this is. Thank you.
