License tagging for Image:Stowgate.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Stowgate.JPG. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:10, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Template for towns

[edit]

Hi Ash Online. Unfortunately, although I should ver very much like to do so, i do not have the authority to change the template of something like that. the problem is that, whether we like it or not, a concensus has been reached agreeing to pander to regionalist sentiment. You'll have to take this to higher levels, although take a blancket - you'll get a FROSTY reception! Regards Lofty 15:54, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to be picky, but Wikipedians is the plural of Wikipedian (Wikipedian's being possessive, of course steming from the Germanic genetive case) ;-). Furthermore, lookout is one word. I just thought I might mention it! Lofty 16:21, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please clarify what an erro is? (apart from Latin for "I wander" or "I err")Typos are much more understandable than basic grammatical errors;-) Lofty 16:27, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please also work on the punctuation of your parenthesis, as it does help other wikipedians to distinguish what you are trying to tell them. Signing of comments would also be appreciated . This can be done with four ~. Thanks Lofty 16:36, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
How else then, Ash_online, do you suggest we correspond? Have you any form of insant messaging service such as MSN Messanger? Would you like to give me your address if you do not wish to converse via wiki? Lofty 16:43, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I do not mind giving it to you, but since I am not the one not wishing to use wiki messaging, you may give yours to me. Otherwise, I shall continue messaging as per the status quo. Lofty 16:49, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please explain the meaning of "rocking all over the world" in the context of our conversation? Anyway, I am working on a template that will include the union flag in English places with the UK map if you are interested. I can't apply it however without previous discussion. Do you want to start the debate and round up a concensus on the matter? Lofty 16:55, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have created Template:Infobox England place with UK flag for UK map. i shall implement only on Market Deeping - See what you think. Lofty 17:01, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I really suggest that you find agreement with other wiki users first! Ask people about it and find out - it is imperative. Lofty 17:08, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I would have suggested having one debate in one place, but never mind. You should also not use increasing awareness as a point. I've tried - and failed. Emphasise the lack of continuity between the maps and the flag i.e. map Uk and flag English, but say that since there are two templates maybe individual pages could decide OR, a template could be created with both. Lofty 17:24, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have reverted your edits to Template:Infobox England place as they were causing problems on a number of articles. A number of other templates re-direct into the above template and turning it into a re-direct causes problems for articles that use these. For example, several hundred pages still use Template:Infobox England place with map (see Special:Whatlinkshere/Template:Infobox_England_place_with_map)

Sock Puppet Accusations

[edit]

I am displeased for being accused of being a sockpuppet of User:lofty, as this is certainly not the case, despite the fact that I do share similar aims as him i.e. supporting the debate for region of UK references to be changed to the UK instead, from the fact that such regions are not independent countries. Such accusations also make no sense because conversations above show that I in fact talk to user:lofty, and if this were the same person it would make no sense. Also, both user:lofty and myself have different IP addresses. Therefore, I would like this sorted out immediately, as I am extremely offended by these accusations. As well as this I would appreciate if the person making such accusations would have the courtesy of making it official by signing in rather than just using an IP address when accusing me of such horrific things. Can this please be sorted out asap, in the mean time I have deleted the table, which suggests I am sock puppeting user:lofty. Many Thanks. --Ash online 16:16, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am of the impression that this sockpupet acusing you of being a sockpupet is Mais Oui! (I have as much evidence for it as he does against me!) Lofty 16:25, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
