InfoCepts

[edit]

Hi AshVaidya,

Feel free to create the page. Please do take note to include reliable sources that clearly indicate that the subject of the article is notable, and please in particular take note of Wikipedia's conflict-of-interest policy. Given that you acknowledged this is your company, you will need to take special care to ensure that your work on the page complies with Wikipedia's policies. ÷seresin 12:41, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Seresin,

Understood. I will endeavor to create a well-balanced, informative and page that contains credible sources. If I may ask, please allow us a small amount of time post publication to enhance the page with quality edits and additional data. Even as an unbiased reader, I believe getting featured as one of the world's top 40 companies in the leading BI and Analytics research and advisory company, Gartner[1], should lend our company enough credibility to possess its own Wikipedia page. I will follow all guidelines, of course, and do my best to write as an impartial contributorAshVaidya (talk) 13:34, 18 March 2019 (UTC)AshVaidya[reply]

Hello, I am responding to the message you left for me. My best advice is that you do not create a page about your own company, as I can't see how you can do so with a neutral point of view. If the company is notable, then eventually someone not associated with it will add a page. Marasmusine (talk) 19:13, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on InfoCepts, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, AshVaidya. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page InfoCepts, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Daiyusha (talk) 13:45, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

InfoCepts

[edit]

Hello. I just deleted InfoCepts because it read like an advertisement. Also, that article has been crated and deleted several times over the years. I have protected it to prevent someone from recreating it. If you think Wikipedia should have an article on InfoCepts, I suggest you read this guide to creating your first article, then write it in draft space and use the articles for creation process to have someone review it and make sure it's up to snuff before it moves to article space. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 14:25, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello AshVaidya, I am responding to your message on my talk page. As requested, I considered the page that you created and in my opinion it was wholly inappropriate for Wikipedia. As I suspected you were not able to present information about the company in a neutral point of view. Marasmusine (talk) 17:14, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

InfoCepts

[edit]

Hi, you can add the following text to your user page: {{Paid|employer=InfoCepts LLC}} or {{userbox COI|InfoCepts LLC}}. Please read WP:COI and WP:PAID. As for your question on the deletion page, Wikipedia wants to align with other encyclopedias. – Thjarkur (talk) 11:31, 12 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi 'Thjarkur, I have previously stated that I am an employee of the organization but my intention to create the page stems from before I joined, when I was researching the job's validity. I honestly believe that as long as a piece of information is genuine, it should be a part of Wikipedia - in the interest of those of depend on it to make informed decisions. If that contradicts your policies, I apologize for the attempt and will not repeat this task. Oh I see, from the discussion it seemed it wasn't quite clear, thank you for that. Yes, including everything verifiable is defensible and does have the support of many here, but the current standards do also make sense from an editorial perspective of wanting to reflect only reliable secondary sources as well as making the project more manageable and resistant to spam. – Thjarkur (talk) 12:32, 12 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
