Question from David Blockchain (17:25, 25 August 2024)
How long it will take me to be a nice admin? --David Blockchain (talk) 17:25, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Becoming a good admin on Wikipedia depends on your dedication, contributions, and understanding of the community guidelines. It can take anywhere from several months to a few years, depending on your activity level, quality of edits, and how you engage with other editors.
- Focus on learning the policies, engaging in discussions, and building trust within the community. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Wishing you the best of luck! Saurabh{Talk} 18:56, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
Question from Abkartechconltd (06:45, 26 August 2024)
Can I published and architecture in thing's --Abkartechconltd (talk) 06:45, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
- It seems like you're asking if you can publish an architectural design or work in a particular format or medium. If you provide more details about the format or medium you're referring to, I can give a more specific answer. Saurabh{Talk} 19:56, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
Question from Dpjtpa on Darnell Washington (17:44, 8 September 2024)
I cannot seem to find the place to upload a new picture for this person. The current picture does not show his face and is very low quality. --D Johnson (talk) 17:44, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
- To upload a new picture for the person, first, go to the Wikimedia Commons Upload Wizard to upload your high-quality image, ensuring you have the copyright or permission to use it. Provide the necessary details during the upload process, and once the image is uploaded, you can add it to the Wikipedia article using the appropriate syntax. Removal of sourced content
@Saurabhsaha: Satra (Ekasarana Dharma) - In this page, you are removing sourced content and inserting dubious information which isnt supported by the reference. Can i know why? Thanks Alaya12345 (talk) 12:11, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- I haven't added anything on my own. It's you who removed the text that was in the article before your edit. The content was backed by proper sources, but you even removed captions from the article mentioning the gods of Hinduism related to Satra (Ekasarana Dharma). You should discuss on the talk page before removing or correcting sourced content in an article. Saurabh{Talk} 12:38, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Saurabhsaha:: Well i restored the older version because thats what the reference says , the page seems to be vandalised by an ip editor, please go through the source, i hope you restore it to the older form Thanks! Alaya12345 (talk) 13:47, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Alaya12345: I've also noticed several of your edits over the past few days and found some striking similarities between your edits and those made by unregistered IPs, particularly the addition of 'Muang Mao' and maps without any primary references in various articles related to Assam and Northeast India. Could you clarify if these IPs are yours?
- For example, in the article Nagaon district, an IP added a map of Muang Mao without proper primary references or discussion on the talk page. I reverted the edits, but you added the same map again with the same editing history. Saurabh{Talk} 14:38, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- "@Saurabhsaha:, the user @Alaya12345: has been repeatedly adding unsourced information to several of his recent edits, particularly concerning Muang Mao and Myanmar in articles related to Northeast India. Additionally, he's removing or altering the well-sourced content without providing any new reliable references, or even discussing it in talk pages. Tizen03 (talk) 13:01, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'm already aware of the issue, and I'll review the edits made by @Alaya12345. Please keep a close eye on the edits, and if he does the same, like removing or altering any sourced content in an article without reliable references or discussion. Bring it to my notice. - Thank you for notifying me. I understand the importance of adhering to copyright policies and will ensure that any future contributions are entirely in my own words and properly sourced. I have rewritten the paragraph that you removed, citing copyrighted material, though I acknowledge there may still be some unintentional similarities. You've done well to remove it, and I will review the guidelines to avoid further. Thank you Saurabh Talk? 03:46, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
Mahfoozur Rahman Nami
I have reverted your addition of {{Cn}} tag on Mahfoozur Rahman Nami. The reason is that the LEAD part of an article is usually its summary which is already referenced below the lead. We do not duplicate citations in this section. Regards, Aafi (talk) 10:27, 18 October 2024 (UTC)

Notice of discretionary sanctions on caste and related articles
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in South Asian social groups. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic. For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor. |

- Hey @Ekdalian, Thank you for your message. I understand the need for high standards in editing sensitive topics. However, the references I used, such as the University of Chicago and the Anthropological Survey of India, are reputable and frequently cited. The content is based on well-documented facts and is neither controversial nor debatable, aligning with Wikipedia's guidelines. Saurabh Talk? 18:31, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
