AfD nomination of Melissa--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 05:40, 10 April 2008 (UTC) Galt
I have nominated Melissa Galt, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Melissa Galt. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. - I don't understand the accusations that you make here, especially when compared with your edit history, which has been nearly null in 2008 with the exception of this article. In the 2 weeks since first asking for the notability of this subject to be verified, I have made edits to Media of Philadelphia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, John Calvin, Traveling Wilburys, The Killers of Comedy Tour, Brat Pack (movies), Kidd Chris, Pretty in Pink, and The Bay Boy. I made my arguments in the talk page, and they have not been addressed. Also, the comment on my talk page (please note it is a wikipedia user discussion page, not a "home page") makes no sense to me whatsoever. "curdled milk and honey"? Maher-shalal-hashbaz (talk) 17:58, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- I understand the content of both of your references, but I don't understand one bit the reason that you bring them up or how they are at all helpful in building an encyclopedia. Pointing out to me what edits I have made over the last few days, or showing me a Bible reference does not change the fact that the subject of the article in question remains of dubious notability. If she's notable, then someone should include the references to reliable, third-party, independent sources within the article. It's as simple as that. Just a friendly note re: your comment on my page, you might want to check out WP:CANVASand to be honest you might even be touching on WP:MEAT with requests like that. I think Ms. Galt meets the notability guidelines but my opinion is just one of many. CredoFromStart talk 15:30, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, I think the note you left was helpful and fair; I did indeed look more carefully and changed my comment, though not in the direction you suggested. That's why I'm not worried about what is called canvassing--it does not necessarily bias the result. Sorry to have to disappoint you, you've done as full a job as possible with the article, but it does not add up to notable. I wish you more notable subjects for your skills here. DGG (talk) 23:35, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- Agree with DGG, I did check back per your suggestion but still do not feel that the subject is sufficiently notable.--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 05:40, 10 April 2008 (UTC)}}

Rosenberg
[edit]As far as I know Rosenberg still divides her time between the states and Europe and is still active curating book arts exhibitions between the two. OneMarkus (talk) 07:36, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
