User talk:ArthurRead1234
Welcome!
Hello, ArthurRead1234, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created is an unreferenced biography of a living person. The Wikipedia community has decided that all biographies of living persons (BLPs) created after 18 March 2010 must have reliable sources, or they can be deleted.
This is not a judgement of the quality or notability of your article. If someone has put a {{prod blp}} template on the article (click this link to see what it looks like), you have ten days to add at least one reliable source to the article. Once you have added at least one reliable source to the article, you can remove the template. (To learn more about what is a reliable source, read Wikipedia:Reliable sources, and to learn how to cite sources, read Wikipedia:Citing sources. Or if you want an easier newcomer's look at citing sources, read Help:External links and references first.)
Going over some of the pages below will help you get a sense of Wikipedia, and knowing about Wikipedia's most important policies will help keep you out of trouble here (click [show] to see the links):

Hello, ArthurRead1234. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Jane U'Brien, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Jane U'Brien to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.
If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.
Thanks, Vanjagenije (talk) 19:06, 17 December 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Constructive contributions are appreciated and strongly encouraged, but your recent edit to the userpage of another user may be considered vandalism. Specifically, your edit to User:Dl2000 may be offensive or unwelcome. In general, it is considered polite to avoid substantially editing others' userpages without their permission. Instead, please bring the matter to their talk page and let them edit their user page themselves if they agree on a need to do so. Please refer to Wikipedia:User page for more information on User page etiquette. Thank you. Dl2000 (talk) 01:07, 24 December 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm GeorgeBarnick. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made with this edit to The Shapies, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Disambiguation link notification for June 15
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Shapies, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Chris Anderson and Alex Thompson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The Shapies hoax
[edit]Do not create, add, maintain, insert, or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia. Usually, hoaxes will be caught and marked for deletion shortly after they are created. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia – and then to correct them if possible. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you.

Sockpuppet investigation
[edit]Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/ArthurRead1234, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Page deletion
[edit]I deleted the page, (Fan fiction of The Shapes), because the content was nonsensical. If you need time to improve the page, recommend that you create the page in your sandbox, and then move it over to the mainspace when the article is ready. And please pay attention to article naming conventions. It is unlikely that the Article Name should be in parentheses. Jinian (talk) 21:22, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
- Take a look at Infobox that will help you edit the article. We also have a number of other information about Wikipedia:Your first article. After you review these, let me know if you still have questions. Jinian (talk) 23:37, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
