Trinitron Meets the Mars People (band)

[edit]

The article Trinitron Meets the Mars People (band) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 07:52, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: The article was deleted because the band does not currently meet the guidelines for notability for musical acts for inclusion on Wikipedia. Perhaps in the future if the band has a hit single or album, it will be notable enough for Wikipedia. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 07:59, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: Unfortunately, being "up and coming" does not confer notability for Wikipedia. The band needs to have a hit single/album or been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works. All of the details on what the guidelines are for notability are at Wikipedia:Notability (music). -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:28, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Trintron meets the marspeople requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 08:11, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Arpodyssey. You have new messages at Nancy's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

A tag has been placed on User:Arpodyssey, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of User:Arpodyssey and leave a note on [[Talk:User:Arpodyssey|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Calton | Talk 00:47, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
