Continuing our discussion
[edit]I'm still new to Wikipedia and I'm always hoping that more experienced users will speak up. That's why I'm not rushing to delete articles yet. However, In my opinion, I think it is a priority to maintain the credibility of WP. While I revere this project for its noble goals as a repository of all human knowledge, it's critical that the information we present be verifiable, properly cited, and NPOV. Any article which cannot meet all 3 of those standards is not in compliance with Wiki-policy or with Jimbo's philosophy for what the Wikipedia should be. These articles can and should be deleted! That means that more responsible editors need to spend time improving substandard articles where they can and nominating WP:AfDs where they can't. It helps a lot if a number of dedicated editors can work as a team; teamwork is the best way to get anything done :)
I know that other people have different philosophies and again, this is just my opinion. What's your's? --Doc Tropics 02:39, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Re: Source code
[edit]The code is a tad messy since I coded it in a hurry (which is why I don't advertise it on the userpage), but you are free to get it from User:Wherebot/Source. -- Where 15:51, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

--Kaaveh 21:48, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
You left some edit on my page

wikEd
[edit]Hi, I have seen that you are using the Cacycle editor extension. This program is no longer actively maintained in favor of its much more powerful successor wikEd.
wikEd has all the functionality of the old editor plus:• syntax highlighting • nifty image buttons • morefixing buttons • paste formatted text from Word or web pages• convert the formatted text into wikicode • adjustthe font size • and much, much more.
Switching to wikEd is easy, check the detailed installation description on its project homepage. Usually it is as simple as changing every occurrence of editor.js into wikEd.js on your User:YourUsername/monobook.js page.

Still Banned...
[edit]Jenab Hesam, I shouldn't have called Mr. Zahiri a "basiji" and I admit my mistake!! Please let him know that I want to make it up. I was wondering if you can try by any chance to decrease my blocking period.
Many Thanks --Kaaveh 04:09, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- Jenabe Hesam ; Actually today my one month ban at Persian Wikipedia will be over. so please unlock my account. Merry Christmas --Kaaveh 07:52, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
Protecting pages
[edit]I never said your edits were vandalism. I just protected what was up on the pages when I got there—I didn't even bother to look at each of your versions. Also, I couldn't possibly favor one version over another because I have no interest in any of those articles in the first place. Also see m:The Wrong Version. Khoikhoi 06:37, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Where is the personal attack? I didn't read Khodavand's comment on my talk page for awhile (note the "I may not respond swiftly to queries" sign at the top of my talk page). I have no problem with other admins reviewing my actions however.
- I never said I wasn't interested in Iran-related articles. Heck, after I was blocked for brekaing the 3RR on Iranian peoples, I later contributed to it along with another user to make it Wikipedia's 1000th FA. I protected all the pages I saw you & Khodavand edit warring on, in an attempt to enforce a "cool down" period.
- Out of all the articles I protected, the only one I have heard of is WikIran, and that's because of the AfD that occured recently. Khoikhoi 21:09, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Re
[edit]Sorry, but there are simply too many convenient excuses you're coming up with for me to believe that this was just a coincidence. Note that WP:AFG states "this guideline does not require that editors continue to assume good faith in the presence of evidence to the contrary".
I'm not stupid Hessam, and if I see you pull something like that again, there will be consequences. Khoikhoi 10:23, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Neither do I. Be aware of abusing your power. Honest admins and Arbitration Commitee will decide if needed. Hessam 14:13, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Election results
[edit]Do you know where I can get the full election results for the Majlis-e-Khebregan, including the successful candidates? I am also interested in the results for the municipal authorities in Khuzestan. I would be grateful for your assistance.--الأهواز | Hamid | Ahwaz 13:07, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- I have had a look at the website you recommended and it is good. There is a full list of those who were elected in Khuzestan[3] and for the Ahwaz muncipality[4]. I can read Persian, so it is not a problem to translate. However, is there any source that gives results by party/list?--الأهواز | Hamid | Ahwaz 17:58, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- I will have to do a bit more research on the elected individuals to find their political affiliations, but as there are not many in Khuzestan and Ahwaz, it shouldn't be too time-consuming. Thanks for your help.--الأهواز | Hamid | Ahwaz 18:45, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- I can't see the 2004 Majlis election results for Khuzestan on that website, only a by-election. Do you know where I can find these results? Thank you.--الأهواز | Hamid | Ahwaz 19:13, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your help. I think I will put the Majlis members for Khuzestan up on Wikipedia tomorrow. I've done enough work for today. Best regards.--الأهواز | Hamid | Ahwaz 19:52, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
Two Articles in need of your attention
[edit]There are two entries at Wikipedia, which have falsely created by Pan-Turkists-- they are Turco-Persian and Turko-Persian Tradition. Both entries are factitious. I have requested the entries to be deleted. My reasons are:
- The term Turko-Persian Tradition (or Turco-Persian) does not exists academically and it is a factitious entry! Check the Encyclopaedia Iranica to confirm -- The correct name for that culture is the Persianate culture not the "Turko-Persian". Turkophones (mostly of mixed race and Persianized in culture) only spoke in Turkic dialects and were in the military. That is not enough participation in creating and forming the culture to deserve the name "Turko-Persian Tradition" – This is misinformation. All the elements in that area, which have to do with tradition and culture, were drawn from the Iranian culture (Persian, Kurdish, Azari, Baluchi, Tajik, Luri, Gilaki, Talishi, Mazandarani, etc.), and the Islamic faith, not much Turkic elements (like shamanism, yurts etc.) were incorporated in. That is what makes the name "Turko-Persian" an imaginary one and therefore the entry should be deleted.
Any contributions would greatly appreciate – please add your comments, whether you agree with the deletion, or otherwise to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Turco-Persian as well as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Turko-Persian Tradition. Bā Sepās Surena 03:01, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
Narek removing my sources, yet using same sources??
[edit]User:Nareklm is using the same site for "source" , yet he purposely removed my same source (same site armenainhighland.com images) with "no source" so you can remove it. Please check this http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Image:Tigranmetscoin.jpg ,this is the same site armenainhighland.com source. Yet he removed my images from the "same site" "same source" Ararat_arev
The source I also had put in "File History" please check at the bottom of the images
Here are my images I uploaded from same site as Nareklm uploaded Tigranmetscoin.jpg http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Image:Nkar3.jpg and http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Image:Hurrian-AncientArmenian.jpg
Amir Abbas Fakhravar
[edit]The article is under continuous attacks. He is now a full blown American politician. He testified in US senate and has close contact with Bush and neocons. I don't see why you did not revert vandalisms by the anonymous user! Sina Kardar 13:52, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Accusation
[edit]About this edit, are you actually claiming that I e-mailed you about that AfD? --Mardavich 08:02, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
- No not you. It was from some other person involved on that AfD. Sorry for misunderstanding. I should have said clearer. Hessam 11:08, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Group accounts
[edit]Hi, sorry for forgetting to answer your question earlier. Yes, group accounts (Wikipedia accounts shared by several people, if that's what you mean, also called role accounts) are forbidden on enwiki with very few exceptions. See WP:ROLE. Any particular case in mind? Fut.Perf. ☼ 12:22, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Ahadzadeh High School
[edit]Can you please look at this AFD - Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ahadzadeh High School. We can't judge its notability, can't find sources, or maybe it is spelled some other way. The same user created the article on the Persian Wikipedia - fa:دبیرستان احدزاده. Regards. --Aude (talk) 17:52, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
{{promophoto}}
[edit]The image of MA should be acceptable under fair use (promophoto) until a suitable free image can be found. -- Avi 07:01, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- No! WP:FUP: Copyrighted images that reasonably can be replaced by free/libre images are not suitable for Wikipedia. Hessam 14:31, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
