Welcome!

[edit]
Hi, Arianitr, Welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope you enjoy the encyclopaedia and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ, plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions). There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page.

Additional tips

[edit]

Here are some extra tips to help you get around in Wikipedia:

  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.
  • You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
  • If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.

Naming articles and sources

[edit]

Welcome

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia.

I would like to point out that this is an encyclopedia and as such articles must be properly referenced.

It is simply not enough to create new articles on political parties (such as the Arvanite Alliance) without providing concrete and verifiable references that these organisations exist.

It is also a good idea to check the spellings of article names (i.e. Arvanite Aliance) before creating them. If you find you have made a similar mistake in the future, please use the "move" function rather than creating a new page. --Damac 09:47, 8 February 2006 (UTC)--Damac 09:45, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your Gostivar edits

[edit]

Stop changing the official names in the Gostivar article or you will be reported. Bitola 09:54, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Arianitr, stop reverting the article content without first discussing it on the talk page and without reaching a consensus with the other contributors to the article. If you don't know, if you make another (4) edit, you will be blocked for a period of time from editing in WP. Bitola 18:37, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

3rr on Gostivar

[edit]

I've blocked you [1] for WP:3RR on Gostivar. Please discuss this here, if you wish to William M. Connolley 19:02, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You source your edits to www.gostivari.gov.mk the official; you fail to understand that I'm not judging you on your edit quality, but on whether you've broken 3RR. Until you understand that, you will have problems. See-also WP:NPOV. "I just want the truth and of course i'll do anything it takes for it" sounds like a recipe for conflict William M. Connolley 21:00, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent behaviour

[edit]

Arianit, I hope that while you are blocked, you will consider your actions here and realize that you cannot do what you want before first discussing it with the editors that were involved into the article editing long time before your first edits here. The statements like your last one: I don't care about your meaning are not acceptable here. I'm again asking you to consider your actions. You must understand that articles here are edited by collaboration with other users, not by edit wars like your last one. Bitola 19:07, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your page Arvanit was an obvious POV fork, which is not allowed. If you should revert my redirect, I'll instead nominate the article for deletion. And please don't revert Arvanites either, the present version is the product of a lot of debate and a lot of work, and if you have a problem with it then please say so on the talk page. Lukas (T.|@) 11:58, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yes, and I've nominated Arvanite flag (AfD discussion) and Arvanite Alliance (AfD discussion) for deletion, obviously. Lukas (T.|@) 12:04, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Arvanite Flag.GIF. However, I believe you lied when you said you got this from the "Arvanitikos Syndesmos Ellados"; you seem to have no idea of what kind of position that association actually represents. I challenge you to provide proof that this is indeed the source of the image and that they have authorized you to use it. In the absence of such, the copyright status is unclear.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Lukas (T.|@) 12:34, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Page moves

[edit]

Hi, you recently moved Gostivar to Gostivari by copying and pasting the contents from the one page to the other. Please don't do that as it violates the GFDL and the page histories are lost. If you want to move the page, discuss it on the talk page with the other editors and if agreement is reached, then you can get an administrator to perform the move. Thanks. --Latinus 15:30, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disruption on Gostivar

[edit]

Hi. Your page-moving and redirecting on Gostivar amounts to vandalism/disruption. Please don't do it. I've blocked you for 12 hours to remind you that wild behaviour won't be allowed William M. Connolley 16:46, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What you have done is a WP:POVFORK: rather than trying to make *one* WP:NPOV page on a subject, you are trying to create a parallel page with an opposing POV. This is not allowed. It must have been fairly obvious that creating the entire thing in a foreign language wouldn't be acceptable. Its not at all clear that any of the pix you uploaded from www.gostivari.gov.mk come with a proper license, either William M. Connolley 17:28, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Al55.GIF. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 11:19, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Gostivar-_night_view.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Warning

[edit]

Stop adding commentary and your personal analysis of an article into Wikipedia articles. Doing so breaches Wikipedia's NPOV rules. Furthermore, reinserting the same commentary multiple times may cause you to violate the three-revert rule, which can lead to a block. Lukas (T.|@) 09:03, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Gostivari.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Fut.Perf. 12:25, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
