That page doesn’t take into consideration if the birthplace doesn’t exist anymore. So we must state where the place is located in present day so that people know where it is. Arianasmithy74 (talk) 16:27, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Look at any page with football players born in Yugoslavia, Luka Modrić, Ivan Perišić, Danijel Subašić, Edin Džeko, etc. Moreover, the page I linked above specifically says Use the name of the birthplace at the time of birth, there is no need to specify which country it is in now.
