Many thanks to Cacycle who came back to me 25th February 2007 upon a clarification of the legitimacy of this account.
AfD on Awareness Loves Life
[edit]I think you're taking the AfD process for your article Awareness Loves Life too personally. Wikipedia has guidelines on notability that address this situation, and they are being followed in this case just as they are thousands of times each week. Please familiarize yourself with the policies on notability before you begin to get your feelings hurt and speak so eloquently of injustices. No on thinks that you are a "nobody" or that your philosophy means nothing. We're all people here, and we all have feelings. Don't mistake the impersonal language used by experienced editors within the AfD debate to be directed at your personally.
A consensus was reached by the editors of Wikipedia as to what the minimum criteria for notability, and thus eligibility to be included in Wikipedia are. One of the mainstays for this criteria is independent references that themselves also meet the notability requirements. No independent notable references have been provided for your article, thus the consensus seems to be that it is not currently eligible for inclusion.
It is also unwise for someone to edit articles about themselves or their work on Wikipedia. If someone else feels you or your work merit an entry and go through the effort of creating the article, this is usually a better indication of notability than articles created by those too close to the subject matter. Wikipedia is not meant to be the sum of all human knowledge. It has stated aims and goals. See WP:NOT and WP:Notability for some starting points to further familiarize yourself with what Wikipedia is all about. Hatch68 20:01, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
