2010 FIFA Ballon d'Or
Hi. I see you moved 2010 FIFA Ballon d'Or to Ballon d'Or 2010. Please note that the Ballon d'Or merged this year with the FIFA World Player of the Year creating the FIFA Ballon d'Or for which there is a new article. All awards onwards, including yesterday's should be included on the new page, with the final entry for Ballon d'Or being 2009. Thanks. Zarcadia (talk) 10:41, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
Your recent edit
Edits like this really gets under my skin. You bascially undid all of my hard work. Its no easy task archiving all those websites. Why would you revert that? Philipmj24 (talk) 03:51, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Howzit bru, just a quick note to say thanks for the help with the Streltsov article. It's looking a lot better now, thank you. Just one thing, though: I'm not sure about the formatting of the EUFootball reference, or whether that will be accepted at FAC; can you shed some light on the subject? Thanks again. Keep well. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 23:41, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
- The question they will ask at FAC will be "Why is this reliable?"; not "Why isn't this reliable?"... Who publishes the website? Is it affiliated to anybody? Who backs it? Is it independent, or part of a network? I'm just asking you for more information about it, that's all. I'm not having a go at you, I'm just asking the questions the will ask at FAC. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 00:00, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- It's okay, EUFootball gives [www.russiateam.com] as a ref, which is acceptable. I'll change it now. Thanks :) – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 00:08, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- No problem mate. :) Feel free to drop me a line again if you need help with something. And thanks again for the help with Streltsov. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 00:15, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- The only problem there is that we only have the information for that one season. We know that Streltsov played in the Soviet Cup in other seasons, so this source alone is not adequate to represent the entire "Cup" column. Good work finding that, though; keep on looking, see if you can find something with more information on the Soviet Cup appearances. Well done, keep it up. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 00:31, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- I remember when I was first working on this article a couple of years ago I scoured the Russian sites for information on this. The closest I came was this, which (I don't know if you can read Russian) gives stats for all of his goals scored in all competitions, as well as career stats for European competitions and so forth. But these are totals – not by season – which is very irritating. I don't know that it would be regarded as reliable anyway, but I just thought I'd mention that I have looked pretty hard. I'll keep looking though, I'll let you know if I find anything; you do the same. :) – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 00:43, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- Aha! Here we have European statistics! I'll add them in now. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 00:46, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- Well, I found the European stats, but I'm still looking for the Soviet Cup ones... but I'm sure I'll find them somewhere... you keep on looking if you want, I can read Russian, so don't worry about that aspect. I think if we get all of the stats and integrate the European stuff into the prose, we're probably up to FA. Keep in touch bru. :) – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 00:55, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

- Sleep tight pal. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 01:05, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- Not yet. I have this, which gives 15 Soviet Cup goals in his entire career, and gives dates of each one, but nothing about how many games he played per season... – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 18:23, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- I think I'll leave it for now; we'd probably need some kind of statistics book for this, because I just can't find anything on his Soviet Cup stats, even on the Russian statistics sites. I'm going to give up the ghost, up to you if you want to go on. I think just leave it as it is until we find something definite from a book. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 18:55, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Well done on the cup stats, I've just put a little caveat to make clear that's all we have data for, not the only appearances... – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 11:58, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not sure where I can find them... but I'll look. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 12:44, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
- I'm afraid not. The problem is that this is a Soviet player, if it were a Western player we'd have no problems finding the data. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 23:44, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
I am working on this one at the moment, if you want to help with it at all? – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 20:11, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- Well, one thing you can do if you don't find it too tedious and boring is add statistics to the "players" section of the page. Go to my sandbox and fill in the table there with the necessary stats: you should be able to get all of the stats from the pages at the top, but if there are some you can't find, give me a shout. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 21:07, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- No rush whatsoever pal, please, I'm happy to have you help, but don't feel obliged. :) – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 21:19, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- Very well done. Now, we just have to find somewhere that has more information on the NASL play-offs, so we can get the final figures for those six players... – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 00:59, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
- Be patient bru, this isn't all I do you know ;) I'll let you know when I do. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 02:31, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
- Ta-dah! ;) – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 02:16, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Sure. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 17:17, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
- It looks nearly ready, I would just merge some of the stubby sentences and paragraphs together and give it a thorough copy-edit. I'll do that for you if you like, when I have some time. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 17:30, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
- I may do it this evening, we'll see when I have some time. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 17:38, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
- I'd also be inclined to cut down the bulk of the Tottenham and Manchester United sections; I don't think setting up a goal "on 29 October 2008" is really something that's historically notable, for example... – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 17:48, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Berbatov
Ahhhhhhh, okay then. ;) – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 04:19, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
- Have a look over it, see what you think. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 08:48, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
- If I were you, the next step would be a "Style of play" section. Try to tell us how Berbatov plays; how does he score? What makes him so good? – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 10:37, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
- I am sure you would make my Swedish look horrible. ;) – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 12:01, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
- It's good – I've got quite a lot out of that. I'm going to write the new section now, I'll tell you when I'm done. – Cliftonianthe orangey bit 12:10, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Football transfers
The football transfers currently being announced do not take affect until the transfer window opens on 1 July. Please do not modify current squad sections of club articles to reflect these transfers until then. Thank you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 23:22, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
Archived links
Hey Arbero. I reverted your change at Into Temptation (film) removing the archived links because the original links worked fine. Archiving links before they go dead is a proactive way to avoid WP:LINKROT. If we simply waited until the links stopped before we added archived links, it would be impossible to archive them at all, because they'd already be dead and thus there'd be nothing to archive. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks! — Hunter Kahn 20:22, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.
