Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:22, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'm glad to see you're using a subpage to create the article, but there's a major problem remaining: What you posted was almost a word-for-word copyright violation from the software manufacturer's website. Even if you own the copyright, you may not post any copyrighted material from any site unless it's first released on your site over to the free documentation license on this site. This basically voids your original copyright since it now leaves it free for use by anyone who chooses to use it; that's why this site is referred to as "free documentation." It's OK to use the original as a source of information, but not as a source of words. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 20:30, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
You bet. I'm glad you caught me...I only logged on for a moment! Anyway, the copyright rules are here to protect you. The subject seems notable enough, so if you write something strictly in your own words and cite a couple of third-party references (product reviews, etc.), I think we'll have us a winner. Thanks for understanding and for being nice. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 00:49, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 01:12, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
I have been in discussion with Mr. PMDrive1061 , I have been following each and every rule and also first used my user space before uploading this, you can view my conversation with PMDrive1061 on his talk pages. As my intentions are not advertising or promotion ,I am journalist and have contributed for many other articles , please unblock my IP and guide me what should I rectified in my article to make it accepted for you. Thankks !!
Looks better...
[edit]...but the overview is still a word-for-word copy of the main site. It's almost there, but you'll need to remove all of the remaining copyrighted text and to make the overall tone more neutral. Look up an article on another piece of software to get an idea as to how yours should look. Stay in touch, OK? :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:44, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Hello again. Overall, much better. I'll fine-tune it a bit for you. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:19, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Nope. Take a look. :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:33, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Glad to help. Go ahead and add the section in your own words and I'll tweak it later. As for uploading an image, it's really simple. Click on "Upload file" in the toolbox on the left and follow the instructions. Make sure you identify it as the logo of a company. When you add it to the top of the infobox in the article, link to it with a wiki under the heading "Image=[[name of image]]." Of course, leave the quotes and period out and replace the "name of image" with, well, the name of the image. That's all there is to it. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:46, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
I do believe we have us that winner I was talking about a little earlier. :) Nice job on an interesting subject. I need to log off, but I hope that I was of some help to you and that the style of the article was of help as well. You deserve a cookie. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 04:08, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
PMDrive1061 has given you a cookie! Cookies promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by giving someone else a cookie, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Happy munching!
Spread the goodness of cookies by adding {{subst:Cookie}} to someone's talk page with a friendly message, or eat this cookie on the giver's talk page with {{subst:munch}}!
Good question!
[edit]I have to tell you, as someone who very closely monitors the goings-on here, any vandalism to your article will likely be reverted within minutes, if not seconds. Nothing here is ever lost, so even if someone totally replaces the text with gibberish, any user can go back into the edit history and bring up the last good edit. Chronically vandalized articles can be protected with varying degrees of protection. I woudn't worry about yours too much. Generally, I've seen the most vandalism to certain types of articles such as "hot" pop culture articles, political articles and sports articles. Rest easy.:) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 00:41, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Hosting Controller
[edit]The article Hosting Controller has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- I don't see how this meets WP:NSOFT. Sources are all affiliated or self-published, except one (a dead link).
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. QVVERTYVS (hm?) 06:18, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
