I changed the introduction text before the table of contents of the Dart Ion Source article . I presented a seminar on DART ion source as a new ionization technique in mass spectrometry.

Editted the first section (Principle of Operation) of the DART ion source article: removed all the text except equations, the two images in that section and the last paragraph. The last paragraph was placed into a new section (Mass Spectra). I split the principle of operation section into two: ionization process and formation of metastable species. Described in greater detail the different ionization mechanisms and formation of excited state (metastables) species.

Added a new section to the DART ion source article, called source to analyzer interface describing its purpose and principle of operation.

Editted the applications section of the DART ion source article. Gave detailed and accurate examples of studies performed on DART in various applications along with some results. Deleted two old images and added two new spectra relevant to the text. Removed notes and manufacturer sections since it repeats the name of the production company (JEOL). Instead, it is mentioned once in the introduction.

Started working on a new article Desorption electrospray ionization. Removed the introduction text and placed it in a new section: Principle of Operation. Replaced the old introduction with new information about its development, comparison to DART ion source etc. Added a new reference ([1]).

Editted the principle of operation section of Desorption electrospray ionization article. Removed old text and replaced it with a detailed ionization mechanism of low and high molecular weight molecules.

Images in the DART article

[edit]

Thanks for your work on the DART article. The additional details on the ion formation mechanism are especially helpful. Unfortunately, the mass spectra that you uploaded will probably be deleted due to copyright problems (especially the one from the Analytical Chemistry paper). See WP:COPY for more information. --Kkmurray (talk) 04:34, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
