Thank you for creating Hirtodrosophila mycetophaga.

Hi, thank you so much for reaching out! I am absolutely in the process of adding on to this section (as well as properly citing it). I also do have an additional source for this section. I can work on some of the wording as well. I will make these changes within the next 15-20 minutes, if you'd like to check back on the post. AnuBalasubramanian (talk) 19:39, 21 October 2019 (UTC)
@Girth Summit: I am removing the tag from the page for the time being, let me know if you have further concerns. AnuBalasubramanian (talk) 02:57, 22 October 2019 (UTC)
Question about Hirtodrosophila mycetophaga
[edit]Regarding the above article, is Hirtodrosophila a genus or a subgenus? Taxonomic confusion in the speciesbox (genus listed as Hirtodrosophila but binomial given as Drosophila mycetophaga) and throughout the article it is called D. mycetophaga despite being titled at Hirtodrosophila mycetophaga. This should be resolved as it is currently unclear. Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 20:14, 21 October 2019 (UTC)
Hello! Thank you for pointing this out -- this issue has been resolved. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns, and thank you once again! AnuBalasubramanian (talk) 02:25, 22 October 2019 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Dryomyza anilis
[edit]Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Dryomyza anilis you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Ajpolino -- Ajpolino (talk) 21:01, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
@Ajpolino: Thank you so much for taking a look at my page. I've made the edits that you have so far suggested and will keep an eye on your review to make any additional changes you see fit.
@Ajpolino: With regard to your comment "Maybe the 'Home Range and Territoriality' section would be better-named 'Behavior," I'm leaning towards sticking with my current header title as this is in line with the suggested format for an article under Diptera: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Diptera/Article_formats. The other changes you've suggested have been made. I'm working on reducing the wordiness/jargon in the Life History section. Are there parts that you think would be best to remove entirely?
DYK for Hirtodrosophila mycetophaga
[edit]On 18 December 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Hirtodrosophila mycetophaga, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Hirtodrosophila mycetophaga mate on bracket fungi, selectively choosing those with a lighter surface to enhance the visibility of their courtship displays? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Hirtodrosophila mycetophaga. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Hirtodrosophila mycetophaga), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
