Notability of Anton oreilly

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Anton oreilly requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Jons63 (talk) 12:12, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:

[edit]
  • Firstly, please mention what article/edits you're referring to in future posts. I had to look through your contributions to understand that you were referring to the Layla El article.
  • Secondly, I explained my reasons in my edit summary, but of course I'll expand a little on that here.
  1. If you see the hidden message in the article, you'll know that we do not add future events into articles. Matches can change, so we leave them out until after the event has happened. Therefore, I removed the reference to Night of Champions (2010).
  2. I removed the move 'clothesline' from the In wrestling section as it is way, way, way too generic. Every wrestler uses a clothesline. Signature moves are supposed to be 'signature'. Moves that a wrestler does on a regular basis that you associate with that wrestler. As a way of proving the moves are signature, sources showing they have used the moves on multiple occasions (i.e. 2-3) are preferable, which is why I removed the second move you added.
  3. Michelle McCool is not her manager. She is a tag team partner, and that is why she accompanies her to the ring. See Jeff Hardy#In wrestling for an example. We don't list Matt Hardy under his managers. And vice-versa, Layla does not manage McCool.
  4. Diva-dirt.com is not a reliable source. A reliable source for her 2010 PWI ranking needs to be added before it can be changed. See WP:PW/SG#Sources for a list of reliable wrerstling-related sources.
You replied just fine. :) I don't keep an eye on McCool's page, so I've no idea what's listed or not there. I wouldn't say a snapmare is a generic move, more like a pretty common on. You'll see a clothesline in every match you watch. Every match. You won't see a snapmare in all of them. My apologies on the second move - I've re-added it. Just one thing, looking back at the edits, moves should be added in alphabetical order. Just something to keep in mind. :) I didn't realise I'd removed it. I don't think Women's CHampionship needs to be added to the header - it comes under the remit of Team Lay-Cool, so I think that covers it all.
No, no, the reference doesn't have to be on the internet. If you have the issue of PWI that the women's list is in you can source it using Template:Cite journal. You'd need the the page number the info about Layla is on, the volume number of the magazine, the issue number, and if the authors are mentioned on the page, you should cite them as well. ♥NiciVampireHeart08:11, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
