Guide to referencing

[edit]

Click on "show" on the right of the orange bar to open contents.

You added the his name to Young British Artists, yet you have removed this information from the lead section. Why? It is helpful to readers to make the connection with this significant contemporary group in art. Unless there is a good reason to omit it, I will replace it in the lead.

Also the main text should start with basic biog info, education etc.

Please note that wikipedia presents verifiable facts and not editorial interpretation. Interpretation can be included as a quote, if it is attributed to the relevant source and cited.

Material needs to be referenced per the guide above. However, not everything needs to be done in one day. It is a steep learning curve.

You can reply here, or click on my name and then the "discussion" (talk page) tag. New posts go under old. If you put 4 tildes ~ at the end it signs your name and the date and time.

Please read the above guide. You have replaced "exhibited internationally", which I removed. It means nothing. Someone who puts a doodle in a French cafe has exhibited internationally. We stick to the hard facts and let the read make their own interpretations of those facts. If the artist has exhibited internationally in a significant way, then a list of the museums etc makes that point properly. Similarly "range of media" - that is an editorial interpretation per WP:NOR. State the media and let the reader assess the range for themselves. "Combines the strategies of conceptualism etc". Unnecessary verbiage. It "combines conceptualism etc" says the same thing more clearly. Ty 10:19, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
