Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Ansley pentz. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Cheryl Heller, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. –FlyingAce✈hello 19:41, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ansley pentz, I have rephrased and trimmed some of your added content while keeping the factual information in the article. Unfortunately your edits contained lots of non-neutral language and overly positive subjective assessments instead of providing a succinct and uninvolved summary of Heller's biography. As her assistant you have a strong conflict of interest with this topic, and should suggest further changes on the article's talkpage instead of editing the article yourself (see above message for more info about COI). You can simply start an edit request by clicking the "request corrections or suggest content" link on top of Talk:Cheryl Heller. All sourced suggestions for improvements are welcome. Best regards. October 2017[edit]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Also, disclose a possible "conflict of interest" and use the article talkpage for edit requests, as repeatedly requested above (see WP:COI). GermanJoe (talk) 14:19, 30 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Cheryl Heller, you may be blocked from editing. The article is not a personal resume but an encyclopedic article. Please use the article talkpage to discuss disagreements and to make edit requests as an editor with a conflict of interest.
