Additional Tips:
- Please sign your messages on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically insert your "signature" (your username and a date stamp). The
button, on the tool bar above Wikipedia's text editing window, also does this.
- If you would like to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
- If you'd like to tell us about yourself and meet other new users, be sure to introduce yourself at our new user log.
- Also check out the Adopt-a-User program that is designed to help out inexperienced users with Wikipedia by pairing them up with a knowledgeable editor.

RE: Editing Wikipedia
[edit]You can't edit the page Wikipedia because it is semi-protected against vandalism. Your account is new so you have to wait 4 days before you can edit semi-protected pages. Hope that clears things up. --Hdt83 Chat 02:22, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- It is with a few exceptions. If you check out Special:Recentchanges you can see every single change made on Wikipedia and theres a lot. But not everybody here is helping to improve Wikipedia, some people make edits that aren't so good and if a page gets too many bad edits, it is protected to stop bad edits. New accounts have to wait 4 days so vandals cant just crate accounts to vandalize a page. That should answer your question. :) --Hdt83 Chat 02:27, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
Recent changes is cool. :) Chrissie
