Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you recently created may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it will be removed shortly (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests, and consider using the Article Wizard. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. The article Ganoderma tsugae var jannieae has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The only references I can find are patent-related. I have serious doubts about this new species of mushroom.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello Anndylian,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Scientific Tradition Pte Ltd, may be copied from http://www.linkedin.com/company/scientific-traditional-pte-ltd. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 04:03, 11 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Scientific Tradition Pte Ltd, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
  • It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

  • It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File permission problem with File:Scientific Tradition.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Scientific Tradition.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 23:20, 11 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:G. tsugae lineage.jpg

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:G. tsugae lineage.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you object to the listing for any reason. Thank you. SuperMarioMan 17:19, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ganoderma tsugae var jannieae, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. SuperMarioMan 04:02, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not simply post this article again. It was deleted after the deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ganoderma tsugae var jannieae, so a repost is likely to be speedily deleted. If you believe that discussion was wrongly decided, or you have new information, you should approach the administrator who closed it, user Edgar181 (talk). If you wish, you can prepare an improved draft in your "user space" to show him: to do that, click on Help:userspace draft and fill in the title. If, after you have discussed it with Edgar181, your concerns have not been addressed, you may go to WP:Deletion review. JohnCD (talk) 19:38, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

MfD nomination of User:Anndylian/sandbox

[edit]

User:Anndylian/sandbox, a page which you created or substantially contributed to (or which is in your userspace), has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Anndylian/sandbox and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Anndylian/sandbox during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. -- A Certain White Cat chi? 20:39, 7 January 2017 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Anndylian, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Contested deletion

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because I am only stating the work that I have done. I did not promote anyone, brands or any products of any kind. I did not think that the user page is public too. I would suggest removing the user page content to prove my point. Thank you so much. --Anndylian (talk) 07:15, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Anndylian. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Jannie Chan, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 07:45, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reminder. I did not quote myself in the edits. I am editing Chan's page because the information is incomplete and for full disclosure, I used to be working for her. That was more than 10 years ago. The items quoted are nothing advertising, and all are facts from the mainstream news paper. I do not see any conflict of interest in that sense. Thank you. Anndylian (talk) 08:09, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I also want to add on to this point. I did not use a fake nick/ name like many of the contributors here. I am using my real name. Nothing to hide at all. This statement can be used as a record and support to what I have edited so far. Thank you. Anndylian (talk) 08:11, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thank you for declaring your conflict of interest. While Chan might be your former employer some time back, this will broadly construes a COI on your part, regardless on what is being written. While some information might be fine to edit/add/remove directly, some are not. It will be better if you do an {{request edit}} on Chan's talkpage and let other editors decide on the merits of the edit.
It does not matter whether any editor is using a real name or not. The account name does not prove anything. Their contribution matters more that how they decide to name their account. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 08:21, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Account name does matter. In fact, if Wiki can do proper KYC, it would make the whole process more transparent. Anndylian (talk) 09:37, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
How does {{request edit}} edit work? Please advice. Anndylian (talk) 09:38, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have added request edit. Please take a look. Thanks. Anndylian (talk) 09:51, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You can refer to Template:Request_edit on how to use it. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 09:54, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
