A tag has been placed on One, Two Buckle My Shoe, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

It is a non-notable music compilation.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Midhart90 (talk) 07:25, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Your article creations

[edit]

Hi Anna. I've noticed that you created some new articles on recordings released by the children's company Tempo Video. Please, note: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia which covers only notable subjects. Notability of the subjects covered by Wikipedia must be always backed up by reliable and independent sources. Your articles are simple lists of songs/nursery rhymes. Could you explain how is the company and its recordings notable and back up your explanation with reliable evidence? Thank you. Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 07:56, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Nursery Rhymes 2

[edit]

Hello Annamargarita,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nursery Rhymes 2 for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is significant enough to be included in an encyclopedia, and the artist doesn't have an article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Mabalu (talk) 00:43, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

Hi! I've noticed that you've created several articles on various films and nursery rhyme related things, many of which have either been deleted or nominated for deletion. (WP:GNG) I thought I'd explain why they're getting nominated for deletion. First and foremost, they need reliable sourcing. (WP:RS) This means that the videos, recordings, and company would have been the subject of coverage in an independent and reliable source such as a newspaper giving a review of one of the products. Anything that is released by the company or anyone involved in the company or its videos would be seen as a WP:PRIMARY source. Now when it comes to sourcing, it can't be a brief mention in relation to something else. It must be in-depth about the subject. If it's only a brief mention then that's considered a WP:TRIVIAL source and it won't show notability no matter how many trivial mentions there are. Also unusable would be routine news coverage of something going on sale. In other words, ads for the company or the videos would be unusable, as would press releases.

Next, when it comes to writing out things about the videos, you need to do more than just list the nursery rhymes in the articles. That's not entirely helpful in explaining anything about the video, as it's just a list. Typically videos need to state who the director is, when and where the film was made, who starred in it, etc.

However, the problem here is that none of the videos you're adding appear to be notable. They exist, but existing does not give notability. Notability would also not be extended if the films were to have a notable person or persons involved in its production. The same goes for the company. Notability is really hard to establish in general, but especially for older children's videos. This is because most times these videos are just churned out at such a large pace that most of them never gain any coverage unless they gain some sort of underground following that is in itself notable. So far I'm not seeing this for any of the videos or items you're adding articles for. You might want to run through Wikipedia:WikiProject Film and ask one of the people there to help mentor you with notability standards for movies and film companies.Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:55, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removing AfD template

[edit]

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with The Golden Treasury of Nursery Rhymes. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it. Snotbot  t • c »  16:47, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of School of Silence, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.ukgameshows.com/ukgs/School_of_Silence.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on School of Silence requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. MER-C 13:01, 17 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
