Authorship in Wikipedia

But what if one publicly acknowledged one's (co-)authorship in a major Wikipedia-article? Could you quote the article and its authors if they decided to list this work in their CVs? --Olaf Simons (talk) 10:18, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Egoistically speaking: May be authors of longer articles should claim their authorship on the respective discussion pages. One could think of a passages in which they give a kind of preface or epilogue: What was the aim? What were the main problems (e.g. in the [[novel] article find a structure for a world wide perspective)? How was the article written? Who made what contribution. They could then openly claim their work and that would allow others to refer to it as openly. My experience with the novel article was that it did not change considerably once it gained a certain coherence. It will be relatively stable. One should contact specialists to revise individual passages, and create a joint work the participants can sell as a broader perspective. --Olaf Simons (talk) 12:37, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
