Speedy deletion of Qadiri Boutchichi

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Qadiri Boutchichi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Wperdue (talk) 00:32, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page Qadiri Boutchichi. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Hello. I have deleted the article under this deletion criterion because it was copied from this document. As for the warning given above, "advertisement" is not really the appropriate word here, but you need to remember that maintaining neutrality on the subject is absolutely essential on Wikipedia. As such, and disregarding the copyright violation concern, the text you submitted is not acceptable as is. Pascal.Tesson (talk) 02:57, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Sheikh Sidi Hamza al Qadiri al boutchichi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 21:18, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Qadiri Boutchichi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 21:23, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, such as Qadiri Boutchichi, you will be blocked from editing.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 21:24, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i dont understand what i have done wrong. please explain.

On the talk page of the last remaining article you created, you stated that the information you provide is factual. It may be so, but you are presenting it in such a way that to non-Muslims the entire article reads like gibberish and doesn't impart any information whatsoever despite your intentions.
The title of the article is Qadiri Boutchichi. Therefore the very first sentence should explain what is Qadiri Boutchichi and what makes him/her/it notable. Do not assume that we should know. What is a Tariqah? Is it the Moroccan equivalent of a United States county? What is a Shuyukh? Etc. Your article gives zero insight on those. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 01:34, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ahmad ibn Mustafa al Alawi, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://dansteadtraveller.com/?p=459. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. The article Qadiri Boutchichi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Notability through significant coverage in independent reliable sources has not been established.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PDCook (talk) 15:27, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
