Major revamps required
Hi there,
- We had a conversation while some edits on Equipment of the Indian Army and recently came across Indian Armed Forces which needs serious changes like Indian Coast Guard is mentioned as one of armed forces whilst it's not, it's one of the Paramilitary Forces of India, Bajaj Auto is listed as the supplier along with Shaktiman trucks. There was nothing written about the DPSUs and Ordnance Factories (I've added that, but that needs a separate section). It mentioned only about foreign imports and the defence budget while the truth is the expenditure on imports is not direct, it's the royalties that have to be paid for the products manufactured at the OFs and DPSUs under transfer of technology. Also, Central Armed Police Forces, State Armed Police Forces, Special Forces of India need revamps and the section dedicated to equipment as they're the ones responsible for our nation's internal security. The DPSUs and OFs articles are pathetic and most of them are not even there, we should make new articles for each of them on the lines of labs and establishments of DRDO (even they look bad). I understand that you're interested in defence related articles and among the top contributors to the Indian Armed Forces article, only you have an active account so I contacted you. If you're interested and have time, we can discuss on how to go ahead or perhaps, you can suggest some people who can help with these issues. Thanks and belated Happy Deepaawali. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.92.100.193 (talk) 08:57, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
- Hey! The Indian Coast Guard comes under the authority of the Ministry of Defence India, not under the Home ministry. It is very much part of the Indian Armed Forces. And as you can see from my list of recent edits, i am far from active - i am pretty busy in my own academic life (as i have mentioned at the top of my user page). I do come here occasionally to check on some of the articles i have created or worked on. I would suggest some other good editors for this work, like DBigXray, Mrt3366, Strike Eagle and Morning277. Thanks! Anir1uph | talk | contrib 14:52, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 51 Special Action Group, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hyderabad (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Recent changes to the list of current active aircraft carriers.
Hello Anir1uph, my name is Rucadulu. Recently you undid a change I had made to the list of active aircraft carriers; I completely understand why you did it. My question to you, how do I get the list back that I had been working on through Dec 14 that was removed by 151.160.113.214(ip address only) and then restored by Cluebot NG and then removed by 151.160.113.214 again?
The changes that where removed had added all the assault carriers currently in service to the list, which is what you recommended to do. If you look at the following link you will see that all the changes still exist I am just not able to do an undo as to many changes have occurred between now and then.
07:02 01 January 2013 Rucadulu (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 14:03, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- In such a case, the additions would have to manually done - either by typing, or simply copying and pasting from the diff page. Thanks! Anir1uph | talk | contrib 23:04, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

Great ability
Good ability to smell the sock!.You are right!.It's the sock of User:Chanakyathegreat whom I presume you are aware of! .I don't find any vandalism in those edits but so major changes without discussion is not acceptable. TheStrikeΣagle 14:11, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- hahaha yeah, i am aware of him :D thanks! Plus, that version by him was reverted by many others before me in the past, so i went ahead and did it myself this time. --Anir1uph | talk | contrib 14:23, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- Surely a sock but I feel his argument has something. His version looks good enough, but I feel we need to discuss it.Its somewhat more informative than the current one.I personally would support it but wont revert until discussion. What do you think? TheStrikeΣagle 08:01, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
- Umm, his verison is much more cluttered, and he keeps reverting to a much earlier page, with missing additional wikilinks. Also, that version has been reverted by a lot of editors before me for the same reason. But sure, i am open for a debate. But before that, please make sure if past consensus does not exist anymore.
