Cow

I agree with the cow, but were the two cheeseburgers and the jackhammer really necessary? Punitive, imo. –xenocidic (talk) 02:34, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

It's all Maxim's fault! —Animum (talk) 02:39, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
Heh... in all seriousness though, just what is it you're testing? and was it successful? –xenocidic (talk) 02:42, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
I was testing what non-time expiries the block form would allow. Needless to say, I doubt I'll be using them anytime soon. :-P —Animum (talk) 02:46, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
heh =) –xenocidic (talk) 03:03, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi Animum,

Just wanted to let you know I left a message on Template talk:Sockpuppet outlining the concerns with the new version of the template a bit better and providing a couple of examples of problem cases. Since the current version breaks another template, I was wondering if you might consider restoring the version without the automatic checkuser link until we can get this all sorted out? Thanks! --jonny-mt 06:33, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Thank you kindly, and I appreciate you sticking around and fixing my ugly code! Sorry to be such a pain in the ass about all of this, but I can't count how many times an utterly confusing situation has been cleared up by something as simple as a sock template. --jonny-mt 08:03, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
Heh, it's no problem at all. Animum (talk) 17:20, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

WP:HAU, Status, and you!

As you may know, the StatusBot responsible for maintaining the status of the Highly Active Users was taken offline. We now have a replacement in the Qui status system. This semi-automatic system will allow you to easily update your status page found at Special:Mypage/Status which the HAU page code is now designed to read from. If you are already using Qui (or a compatible) system - great! - no action is needed (other than remembering to update your status as necessary). If not, consider installing Qui. You can also manually update this status by changing the page text to online, offline, or busy. While it is not mandatory, the nature of HAU is that people are often seeking a quick answer from someone who is online and keeping our statuses up-to-date will assist with this. Note if you were previously using your /Status page as something other than a one-word status indicator, your HAU entry may have been set to "status=n" to correct display issues. Please clear this parameter if you change things to be "HAU compatible". Further questions can be raised at WT:HAU. This message was delivered by xenobot 22:49, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Tzatziki Squad collaboration

Hi Animum. As you might know, the Tzatziki Squad has just completed its second successful FAC, and the time has come to pick a new collaboration. You are next on the list for choosing, thus, if you'd like to pick an article to work on, please let the rest of the squad know on the talk page. Thanks. Keilana|Parlez ici 21:45, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

I sense that this user is a freshman... 76.5.198.72 (talk) 02:13, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Heh, I wouldn't call it "freshman." A much more descriptive term would be "fresh meat." Animum (talk) 02:34, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Wait, so are you agreeing with the essay or not? :-P —Animum (talk) 19:27, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

"I couldn't think of any other scenario, so assume I'm neutral with respect to this issue". Yes, but you're definatly NOT neutral so don't get me started with your.... "examples" freshie. « ₣M₣ » 22:17, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

"Definately"? :-P —Animum (talk) 22:44, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Misspellings happen... I rely on FireFox too much. Delete this: {{User:FullMetal Falcon/Frown}}. Its .... userspace in a template? What!? Makes no sense at all. :P « ₣M₣ » 01:05, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Barnstar

The Great Arkansas Barnstar
For creating such a great and useful script for WikiProject Arkansas, I give you this here star. Thanks again! :D Chet B. LongTalk/ARK 00:15, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Just as a point of order, shouldn't this be under withdrawn , rather than denied requests? –xeno (talk) 20:12, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Either is fine, I think. Withdrawn sounds better, though. —Animum (talk) 20:23, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Fixed. –xeno (talk) 18:01, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Alansohn

Hey Animum. Just wondering, which exact diff did you find to be uncivil? I personally found them to be off the mark, but I really didn't find them to be uncivil.

They weren't uncivil; they were trolling and personal attacks. I can't narrow it down to a single diff, as I found all of his comments were greater than the sum of their discrete parts. It's clear that he's out to get Rlevse, and I find that, in and of itself, as well as some parts of his comments, to be a personal attacks, which he is barred from making as per his ArbCom-imposed editing restrictions. So, there isn't a single one, but rather all of his comments constitute one. —Animum (talk) 03:39, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
I've taken it to AN/I for review because I feel strongly that he wasn't attacking Rlevse. Your comments are appreciated. Ryan Postlethwaite 03:43, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

How is my favorite scriptmaker? I'm wondering if it is possible to create some sort of simple rollback script, that could be used on any wiki. (of course it would have to be loaded locally to my monobook) Thoughts? - Rjd0060 (talk) 02:31, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Done. To add it to your monobook on another wiki, add the following code to it:
document.write('<script type="text/javascript" src="'
             + 'http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=User:Rjd0060/global.js'
             + '&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript&dontcountme=s"></script>');
Enjoy. Animum (talk) 23:03, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Well deserved

The da Vinci Barnstar
I don't give out enough of these, so you must really deserve it. Excellent work with writing JavaScripts. I've lost count as to the number of them that you've created for me, and the number of hours that it has taken — very much appreciated. Keep it up! (and I'm not just saying that because if you stop I won't have anybody to write my scripts) - Rjd0060 (talk) 03:01, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks a lot! Animum (talk) 03:11, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
