I note your intention to edit the Intellect article, but please note (as per the talk page) that the article is currently considered to be a mini article which helps direct readers to two other articles which are considered to cover the two different broad meanings of the term "intellect". - After analyzing the talk page I realized that you came up with the most preferable solution not to mess up with different contexts of word's usage. Nevertheless, I can't switch to editing Intelligence or Nous article because the task is to expand a short article. I'll have to create 3 new headings (it's a part of the task - to include at least 3 new headings). If you won't like the content, feel free to change it to the previous state as I completely understand the initial idea of keeping the article short.
- Yes, edits can be reverted, but knowingly making edits that will need to be reverted could end up getting you blocked. Can't you or your teacher find a short article which would be improved by lengthening?--Andrew Lancaster (talk) 12:25, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
- I'm really sorry but I can't. I have already submitted my work and I tried my best to include relevant information concerning rather intellect than intelligence. I know you tried to distinguish between intellect and intelligence before but your changes were discarded. So, I expect the same fate for my editing too. By the way, why can't we distinguish them? In psychological aspect, there is still a difference between intellect and intelligence, right?
- There are different ways to define different words, and that is why Wikipedians spend a lot of time discussing which subjects should be under which headings. The normal philosophical meaning of the word Intellect is currently handled under Nous. Before you start working on an article with this type of issue (multiple meanings) you should be checking what has been discussed previously about that. The way you are working now, you are adding material unconnected to the current lead, and the different new sections are not necessarily all about the same meaning, not about meanings which are common and widely used. If you are not willing and able to edit as part of the Wikipedia community and its norms you should not be editing. Please make proposals on the talk page about which meaning of Intellect you think needs to be handled on a separate page to the two which already exist.--Andrew Lancaster (talk) 12:52, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
