Please help
Hello! The article that you've revised and declined (Hunter: Master of Arrows) is written about the game that is quite new - it was released in March 2020. It does not have ANY reliable sources apart from the publisher's (developer's) website - no other trustworthy author has written about the game yet. How can I solve this issue in this case? Thank you in advance! Best regards — Preceding unsigned comment added by Firrelly (talk • contribs) 19:22, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
- Firrelly, find more video game articles that review the game that qualify under WP:VG/RS. Also some of the descriptions for the game are very generic. You should describe the setting / storyline and type of gameplay. Is it an open world adventure game, RPG, FPS, etc. ? Lots of games have skill trees and different character abilities. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:23, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF sure, let me check it once... Thanks for the reply -Manjusha | മഞ്ജുഷ (talk) 02:49, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
You recently denied my article. You stated that it is not a franchise... however there are various movies, both theatrical and television releases, and a completely separate 'remake' movie. What makes this not a franchise?--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 01:01, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
- The definition of "franchise" is as follows: a collection of related media in which several derivative works have been produced from an original creative work of fiction.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 01:05, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
- DisneyMetalhead, you need to provide sources from newspapers and such saying that it's now a franchise, not using our own judgement. Do you have some of those that consistently do that? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 02:54, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
- The definition of "franchise" is as follows: a collection of related media in which several derivative works have been produced from an original creative work of fiction.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 01:05, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
@AngusWOOF: by definition it is a franchise. Being in a boxset collection does not make it a franchise. I have re-added multiple sources calling it a franchise.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 16:34, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
- DisneyMetalhead, please highlight those in the AFC reviewers comments section. Those should help establish notability as a franchise if so claimed. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 06:03, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
@AngusWOOF: I have done this again, and resubmitted the article for review.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 04:10, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
Draft: Big Rick In The Morning
Hello, so I have a question.
I see that this person, now has a google knowledge panel HERE:https://g.co/kgs/vL9XTE
Do I need to change the title of the article to "Big Rick Daniels" to match it?
Once thats done, what else specifically needs to be corrected?
Smokethatskinwagon (talk) 00:56, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
- Smokethatskinwagon, Google links don't really help notability. More external news articles not connected to the subject but cover his career would be helpful. Which article are you trying to get cleaned up? The one about Rick Daniels or his radio show? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:20, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
- Smokethatskinwagon, has he syndicated nationally and internationally, and not just across more than just the one radio station. I'm not counting as on the Internet, since everyone can get on the Internet to broadcast these days. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:22, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
He is syndicated on Westwood One country formats.

Draft:Basketball_IQ
@AngusWOOF: Hi AngusWOOF and many thanks for your contribution at the Draft Basketball IQ. I will edit again the article, enhance it with more resources, and re-submit it in order to try to comply with Wikipedia Guidelines. Just to give a summary: Basketball IQ is a term widely used by Coaches, players, fans and journalists. Though there is no defined any metric on this. Which I'm giving via my proposal. This is the essence of the article. And maybe can answer to your comment that ' I'm pretty sure this isn't this specific metric when coaches say their player has a high basketball IQ'. You are right that this isn't exactly what coaches say. Though it's an attempt to quantify that. Kindly let me know your view! Many thanks again. Polizois77 (talk) 12:03, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- Polizois77, the term itself may be popular but it is NOT the specific metric as outlined in that draft article, which reads like original research. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:14, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- @AngusWOOF: Hi! I have resubmitted the page according to comments. So, I have altered the structure, enhanced the content, and added reliable references. Kindly re-check. Thanks.Polizois77 (talk) 22:05, 11 April 2020 (UTC)

- Fulber, Did you not see the comment I left about issues with the sources? You cannot just list an issue of a magazine as a source, we need page number/author/title of the article etc. for verification purposes. Please see WP:REFB Sulfurboy (talk) 22:46, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
I didn't see that yet. thanks Angus. I included issue numbers and page numbers of all magazine articles aside from one I think.

4kids winx
Hello Anguswoof, do you know why a lot information is moved about the fox version of Winx on Wikipedia articles? 4kids don't show specific role's in the credits. It is also strange that some cast members have any know who works on the show but some cast members not. Carol and Veronica they have no idea who works on the show but Gregory and Erica know a bit. That'said why I don'the believe that Caren is Stella. Also her voice is pretty similar to Darcy but not Stella and Chatta. 4kids don't dub s4. Cutting room think that. Amy palant was Mirta. I add some info at S1 page.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:43, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
- Maxie1hoi, a lot of the English voices were removed from the main page and the characters list. Only the Nick dubs ones were relevant to keep since they produced and premiered English dub episodes for those seasons. You'll have to argue with the other editors that decided that. As for Caren voicing Stella, she still maintains that on her writeup from Cutting Room. It probably doesn't matter except on her own page, and the only thing that can really be confirmed is that she voiced in the 4Kids dubs for the show. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:25, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
okay, but in the cutting room nyc they wrote '4 seasons' but fox TV only made season 1-2-3. For Mirta as far as I know it was Amy Palant.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 07:22, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, they can be wrong in the number of seasons. 4Kids only made 3. I agree with that. As for Amy Palant, she's a 4Kids voice, but not credited in any of the closing seasons 1-3 credits, see [1] Please don't waste any more time on Stella / Darcy. That's been discussed ad nauseum. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 09:43, 13 April 2020 (UTC) some people are not famous from this cast : Su Meredith, Dani Schaffel, Grace Shepard, Mary Stout. It is also unknown why and how 4kids got delete scenes from Rainbow and how they made graphics and scenes. Example: episode 5, Winx girls walking into the kitchen room. Stella has a magic glitter ball, episode 2.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 16:07, 13 April 2020 (UTC)

Draft: MGP Live
Hi AngusWOOF, thank you for your helpful feedback for the draft of the MGP Live article that I have worked on. I made a number of edits in order to improve the content of the page and make it more neutral and acceptable as a Wikipedia entry. Although I am not paid, the founder of MGP Live is a personal friend of mine, and I have now disclosed that in the article heading as well. Could you take a look at the progress that I have made and let me know what your thoughts are? If there is something else that you would suggest to improve this article? Draft:MGP_Live
Please let me know, I would like to resubmit the article for consideration. Thank you very much for your help!

Thank you for your help AngusWOOF, I found this article from iItaly Magazine that covers Massimo Gallotta. I looked through those guidelines you shared and it seems like the articles cited in the draft are more in-depth than "a single-sentence mention in an article about another company". For example, The Daily Star article has around 7 paragraphs about Massimo Gallotta's career and contribution to Assassin's Creed Symphony. This article from Financial Times also goes more in-depth into Massimo Gallotta's history. Sunstone23 (talk) 23:45, 27 March 2020 (UTC)

Hello, can yolu please reconsider the article about Alihan Demir. He is quite famous and notable in TURKEY and all agencies ask for his Wikipedia page. He played Minnesota Golden Gophers for this year and He will play in Eurocup or Euroleague next season. Request for review of resubmission of Draft:RouteRANK
Hello, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to review an early draft of https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:RouteRANK. The result of your review was as follows: Comment: More chemical companies WP:SOLUTION AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:21, 17 January 2020 (UTC). I believe related to the usage of the wording of solutions rather than software. My colleague also added additional references and articles to sustain the quality of the draft. I was wondering whether the resubmission could be reviewed to see if it is up to par or if additional changes are required.

Request on 17:16:17, 26 March 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by Djb2183
Hi, thanks for reviewing the Joey Gonzalez page. So when the last reviewer rejected the page, he emphasized the need for reliable sources that establish notability, which I certainly understand. He also said it's ok to include those non-notability sort of sources. Can you please let me know if any of the current sources on this page count toward notability? I know you asked me to provide three. I guess what I'm struggling with is that the subject has been written about in major publications and has indeed been the subject of many of those articles. Additionally, he has received significant coverage. So obviusly the mistake falls on me. I'm just trying to figure out what it is I'm doing wrong so I can fix it. Many thanks for your guidance. - Hi, sorry for the delay. I know you asked for three, but was hoping you could take a look at these four, as they all seem suitable, and I just want to make sure I'm doing this right.. It's Men's Health, People, the Evening Standard, and the Los Angeles Blade.

- Cool, many thanks. So what are the next steps? Should I edit the article at all, or do I need to do anything? Or do I get notified? Djb2183 (talk) 14:36, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
- You could ask GPL93 to review these sources and see if they're better than the previous batch presented. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 14:42, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
- Oh wow, I somehow missed this message. I'll go ahead and ask them to do so now. Many thanks. Djb2183 (talk) 14:02, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, the reviewer is not responding to the message I left on his talk page. Do I re-submit the page for review? Not sure what the best way to go about this is. Sorry for the delay. Many thanks. Djb2183 (talk) 13:41, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
- Djb2183, you could resubmit, but it still reads to me like a resume, and not much of a biography on the subject. If there's something you can do to neutralize the tone so it isn't promotional, that would be helpful. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:08, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks for this. I hadn't edited the article at all, only added the three major sources. But I just went ahead and neutralized the tone of the article, and I'll re-submit now. Many thanks. Djb2183 (talk) 15:23, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

New article: Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1999
Hi Angus, Thanks for reviewing my draft of the Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act. I am trying to understand your reason for declining it. There is plenty more content that could be added about the law, about its implementation, controversies, numerous cases that have been filed under the statute. I was thinking of adding the stub designation. Would you recommend adding more to it? If so, what sections/topics should be added? If you do feel quite strongly that there isn't enough there for a standalone article, I wonder why you think it should be merged with the article on Ragging? It doesn't make sense to me logically to merge an act of law prohibiting ragging into the article on ragging, as it is not really a sub-category of ragging itself. Prohibition in the United States (besides having its own page) is most fully discussed under Alcohol law not Alcoholic beverages -- the thing it prohibits. If anything, there could be a more general article on Anti-Ragging Legislation in India (of which there is a lot), or maybe it would make sense to add it to Anti-bullying_legislation. Thanks again for your help!Kkavita (talk) 06:29, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
- Ragging in India has a sizeable section there in the Ragging article, and it includes several legislative acts prohibiting it, so that would be the appropriate place for it. It also covers multiple pieces of legislation such as 2009, so it isn't restricted to just the 1999 act. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 06:33, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
Voice actors in Persona 5
I am trying to cite reliable pages on Behind The Voice Actors for voice actors in Persona 5, but someone by the name of Dissident93 has been persistently and disruptively vandalizing them for a reason. They need to be blocked to prevent future edit wars. We should talk on these pages along with Sjones23 and UltraDark. Homechallenge55 (talk) 21:33, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
- So you have time to go around asking multiple people for me to be blocked (for no valid reason, as I reverted for good reason nor did I start an edit war) yet you won't take the time to participate at WT:VG/RS, where the site's reliability is in question? I even see on your talk page that you were warned about your use of the site as far back as 2016, yet clearly that made little effect. ~ Dissident93 (talk)
- I replied on the WP:VG/RS thread. The BTVA for Persona 5: Royal (2020) https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/video-games/Persona-5-Royal/ has a bunch of green checkmarks that point to screenshots of the closing credits. If you don't trust that BTVA got it right, you would replace it with
{{cite video game}}
and it would be the same listing. If green checkmarks point to resumes / tweets, then treat it like WP:SELFPUB or replace with the actual tweet / resume. Note that Persona 5: The Animation https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/tv-shows/Persona-5-The-Animation/ does not have any green checkmarks so no screenshots, so not reliable for that. Ron Britton article draft
Hi there, thanks for your feedback on my draft of an article on psychoanalyst Ron Britton. One of the things you said when rejecting the first submission was: 'The early life and education section is completely unsourced and seems to be copy-pasted or closely paraphrased from somewhere.' First of all, I can promise that it is not copy-pasted from anywhere - I was provided with the bare-bones facts and then wrote it from scratch. I am also finding it impossible to track down online sources for Britton's schooling, training, army service etc., and am not sure what to do. Part of it is that he is a psychoanalyst, and they tend to keep very low public profiles (so their patients can't find out too much about them!). I've also looked at quite a lot of Wikipedia articles to see how they've covered their subjects' early lives, career details and so on, and lots of them are unsourced, so I'm a bit confused as to why this situation is different. I would really appreciate any help you could give me on this!
Fatbookreader (talk) 14:11, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
- Fatbookreader, where are you getting the bare bones facts from? If it's from Britton or his family directly, then that's not going to help. Each of the lines should be sourced to some reference that others can look up, whether it be a news article or published book. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:24, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
Seeking advice on how to improve 9b9t article
Hello Angus,
Thank you for your input regarding my article. So that I can best improve, are you suggesting I mention similar servers, like 4b4t and Constantiam?
A major roadblock I've encountered is a lack of external news sources regarding 9b9t. For this, I have two possible remedies, both of which I am uncertain about. 1) I'm considering using the official 9b9t Discord and 2) myself, I consider myself a primary source [having played on the server for just under a year]. Would either of these be up to Wikipedia's standards?
Thank you so much, TheSaucyPizza TheSaucyPizza (talk) 19:13, 23 April 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheSaucyPizza (talk • contribs) 23:04, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
- TheSaucyPizza, please try to find more external news sources. Some of the articles listed have bare coverage of the server, but it would be good if there were more of those and in depth. I would avoid using your own findings from being in the game itself. Also, asking the staff there for information and sharing that might be a conflict of interest. Credits dump
What is "credits dump" on Articles for Deletion you usually mentioned? CuteDolphin712 (talk) 08:47, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- CuteDolphin712, credits dump is where most of the article is just a bunch of usually unsourced credits that you could find on IMDb, and doesn't show the significance of the person. It's important that you show how the actor or director was worked on significant roles in significant productions using external news sources, and not just list every possible thing they have been in. Please help me resubmit corrected article
I had some time this weekend to proofread the draft article at https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:John_McNamara_(sportswriter). It was declined with comments. The instructions say to edit using the EDIT tab. There is no edit tab left to accomplish the corrections requested. I believe I shouldn't be seeming to simply resubmit rejected articles. Rejection of Article
Hi AngusWOOF This is regarding Balipa Narayana Bhagawat article I submitted. In fact, I have not created this article as a promotional purpose or keeping that in mind. He is a renowned person in the Yakshagana field and people are surprised why he is not figuring out in Wikipedia. I can relook at the article but could you please give some hints and I can make that happen?
Regards ngholla1968 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ngholla1968 (talk • contribs) 16:30, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
- Ngholla1968, see the Identifying blatant advertising writeup WP:IBA. Draft:Balipa Narayana Bhagawat shouldn't have stuff like "over 60 years in the profession". It needs to use more common terminology as "Bhagawatha" is not defined. It's not clear what he is a leader in, a religious sect, or an organization? Why is there detail on Bhagawathike? Did he coin that term? That wouldn't make sense since Bhagawathike is over 700 years old. Should that detail be in Yakshagana instead? The awards section just has a bunch of localized awards, and doesn't show which awards are nationally notable or have Wikipedia pages on their own. It should not have bragging phrases like "much respected" or "honored with" or "legendary". AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:54, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
Ngholla1968 (talk) 22:10, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for guidance. 'over 60 years' etc, I will remove. But Bhagawatha is a noun and Bhagavathike is a verb. This is age old tradition of folk dance and person in question Balipa Narayana Bhagawat is prominent leader in this art form. This is mainly around southern India. No offense... but just want to know whether this should be assigned to some Indian reviewers who are more familiar with this tradition which has a rich history in the culture? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ngholla1968 (talk • contribs)
- Ngholla1968, you need to explain his occupation more clearly then, like: he is a bhagawatha (story teller, lead singer and producer) in the Yakshagana theatre form. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:36, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
- Ngholla1968, yes he appears to be named after the tradition, but explaining bhagawatha that should go in the Yakshagana article. Otherwise it implies he was the creator / founder of bhagawatha AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:17, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
Your review
Good evening AngusWOOF
1292simon gave me the tip for Sayonara Player entry to focus on how references and texts are done in Audacious article. I don't have any further idea than including all these independent and reliable sources (linux magazine, linuxlinks.com, itsfoss). Could you please help me: Which areas in the article are still like a website copy? I oriented that much in all these other articles in Comparison of audio player software and they are almost the same, sometimes even without reliable references (like musikcube without any or JuK with less than Sayonara has already).
Could you also help me how to include the logo of the Player?
Kind regards

- Dominic2105, it's the bullet list of features that makes it really look like an advertising brochure. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:46, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you, I appreciate your specific insight. No offense, but anyway I still have some difficulties to see, where I made a mistake and others did not? Just comparing with Songbird (software), XMMS and Guayadeque Music Player. Further articles (in addition to the three mentioned before) also have these lists in minor topics like plugins: Winamp, Rhythmbox and especially Audacious (software). Kindly allow me to ask where I could see the difference? Dominic2105 (talk) 21:40, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
- Dominic2105, if you can list out your best WP:THREE sources and point AFC reviewers to those, then that might help. Other reviewers might have a different opinion on the bullet list. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:44, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, thanks a lot once more. It's a good hint, even if in WP:THREE it was a lot of English text and I have some difficulties with it (my native language is German, so for sure my English is only "school level"). I'll try to adjust the references list by just deleting some of those references, because at least three good sources are in it. May you stay healthy. Dominic2105 (talk) 21:54, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
- The articles don't have to be in English, but they should be reliable sources that are independent of the subject and cover the subject in depth. The point of WP:THREE is so that reviewers don't have to look through 20+ different sources. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:09, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
- Dominic2105, you also need to cite the review statements. Saying (player 1) is better than (player 2) in (aspect) needs to be cited and referenced to the reviewer and the media. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:48, 27 April 2020 (UTC)

Just because you don't see it as a significant role doesn't mean it should not be mentioned. Otherwise any mention of various characters and such would have to be taken off as well since that is usually put for non-significant roles. {{subst:uw-unsigned| James12183}}

Well I guess Wikipedia will have to remain incomplete then. Your rejection to Articles for creation: Joanie Loves Chachi (Band)
Hi There,
Thanks for taking the time to review my first Wiki article! However I do not understand your reason for swiftly rejecting the article. You mention that there is not enough independent notability.
According to the https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(music) link, Musicians or ensembles (this category includes bands, singers, rappers, orchestras, DJs, musical theatre groups, instrumentalists, etc.) may be notable if they meet at least one of the following criteria, and from what i understand, Joanie Loves Chachi qualifies the following:
1. Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent of the musician or ensemble itself: The Chilliwack Progress article and the Claudia Wyler Blogs are two of these sources, are they not? There was once an AnnaNova.com feature (UK) but I cannot find that should I try and link that too?
2. Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart. At the moment, their current record on the North American College Charts, and it even debuted in the top ten at several stations. I did not include that in the article, will that help the notability? I left this out so the article felt more neutral.
3. Has won first, second or third place in a major music competition. Although it is arguable that the Fraser Valley Music Award they won is not a notable enough award, it is notable at least as a music competition, and it is first place is it not?
3. Has been placed in rotation nationally by a major radio or music television network. Their first records garnered them the licensing spots on the Alienated series from the Space Channel. How does this not qualify?
Thanks a bunch for your time, looking forward to your response! Deanfreakinyoung (talk) 15:47, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
- Deanfreakinyoung, 1) those are non-notable blogs. Please find some more notable newspapers and magazines such as Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, maybe CBC. 2) As for music charts, they need to chart on Billboard or something major. College Charts isn't notable. 3) Fraser Valley Music Award is not a notable award. We're talking Grammy. 4) Space Channel isn't a music television network, it's a regular television fiction channel. This might bring popularity later but please find more mainstream Canadian news sources. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:05, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
- Deanfreakinyoung, please also connect your references to the article instead of just leaving them at the bottom of the page.AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:31, 7 May 2020 (UTC)

King Arthur, the historical king and his dynasty
Based on your advice, I withdraw my article titled "King Arthur, the historical king and his dynasty" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cunedda (talk • contribs) 14:37, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
- Cunedda, you can blank out the draft if you don't want to use it anymore. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 04:23, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
I find this and this quite puzzling and counterproductive. Checking the validity of each redirect takes less than 20 seconds (unless the connection is not good) and adding the redirect even a shorter time. I agree, it probably takes a few seconds longer than those editions I link to, but is doing that kind of thing worth it? The redirect is still not there, will probably remain the same for a long time... unnecessarly, it scares away occasional contributors and contributes to creating more (again unnecessary) noise with comments like this, possible replies etc. Just for some kind of strange red tape. That kind of thing is not helpful in general, for users or the project in general pero bueno, vosotr@s mism@s, colegas. Regards. --37.35.185.168 (talk) 02:24, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- 37.35.185.168, those are redirects. Just request them at the redirect instructions listed. Do not use draft pages to create it. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 04:21, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- I know. You are not telling me anything which isn't stated in the links I provided. The issue I mention seems not to be an issue at all? Anyway, a few more details in case they can help you (and others) get yourself/-selves in other peoples' shoes: a few days ago, I tried to add some redirects, something I used to do in few seconds time ago. I could add the info in existing pages like disambiguation ones, not problem with that, but I found I couldn't create a new page as an IP. A wall for vandals, I guess. Fair enough. After searching and reading a lot of not always very helpful text for long minutes (15 or probably longer) I found the draft option. If my memory serves me well somewhere was mentioned that redirects could be done that way but I might be wrong with that (a lot of blahblahing usually distracts rather than helps and I am unable to find the draft option again). I created a couple of draft redirects... wrongly, it turns out. OK, my fault but also frustrating. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels frustrated by this strange, thick mesh. Now I know how to do it properly (thank you) but the whole process probably shoos away a lot of people. It's quite easy to feel one loses their time here under such procedures and then they brandish further red tape before your nose once again. I repeat: that kind of thing is not helpful in general, for users or the project. I wonder how many useful redirects are sleeping the sleep of the just while the noise continues increasing and how many users decided contributing here is not worth the trouble. Regards. --37.35.185.168 (talk) 14:30, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- 37.35.185.168, how long did it take to process the redirect request when it was submitted to that form? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:12, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- Not much. That's not the point, though. You are still failing to address the issue I mention. It's like pointing to the moon and people looking at the finger, so we'd better move forward to our own businesses. Regards. --37.35.185.168 (talk) 23:15, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- 37.35.185.168, actually that is the point. If the process is broken or too slow then you need to bring that up with the admins here so they can fix it. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 00:20, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- 37.35.185.168, did you submit it as a redirect using the Redirect Wizard at WP:WIZ/R? That's seen from the WP:AFC page. Is there another spot that makes it clearer where to go? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 00:37, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
Dear AngusWOOF, Kindly review this draft article as previously declined by you. I have now removed promotional content and also added references from reliable sources. Jay Munly's Wikipedia Page
Hi, I responded to your other notes on my own talk page for Jay Munly. I can copy/paste them here.
One more thing: I saw this note when going through the revision history today: "use musical artist instead of person"
I just wanted to let you know that when I started to revise the page in March, I started modeling it after both Jack White's page and Taylor Swift's. Jack White has a combined musical artist and person infobox, which looked like a good idea to me. Since he's a pretty popular/famous artist, I thought that'd be the right format to use.
I thank you for the rest of your edits and notes as well - it's been a big learning curve for me! - Xx rapunzel xx (talk) 01:09, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
- Xx rapunzel xx, that's fine, it can go to infobox person later when they become more of a celeb than a singer/musician. Keep finding those external news sources like Billboard, Rolling Stone, newspapers outside of Denver's immediate area. Those will help keep his stuff notable. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:18, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
Good evening, xx rapunzel xx here. I'm looking over all these edits that you made... wow. It's a lot for me to take in! I have a few questions:
- I came across the DOB on social media and the year on one of those background check sites. This is an example where the date is more widely known than the year, but would citing social media be acceptable?
- The obituaries I have are on sites like "tributes.com" - doesn't sound like a news source to me. As per your note, I should delete those and the info with it, right? If so, I have to remove a lot of things, then.
- How come sites like "Discogs" or "Genius.com" for lyrics aren't good sources? Should I use sources like bandcamp or the band's own website? The thing is that lyrics aren't easy to come by since they aren't usually published.
- Not a question: The 'controversial lyrics' section doesn't have to be reinstated. I guess it was a way for me, as a fan, to address problematic things while also trying to protect the artist. It was kind of a 'CYA' thing for the artist and for me too. It doesn't need to be there. There really hasn't been much outrage except for one site which mentions it but isn't calling for a full-on boycott. I'm assuming that the other part of that section, now renamed 'Public Image' is mostly okay except for the 'peacock prose'.
- Not a question: Under 'Other Ventures': I have no idea what the plays are called. Children's stories: that's the only source I know that mentions that. Copper Nickel #5: I got that info from munlymunly.com, which is only a fansite apparently, although no one knows who that fan is. The only reason I know the title of the story is because I found a post on Tumblr that said so. The official University of CO site has an archive that doesn't go back that far, and Amazon does not have a list of contributors or a table of contents to view.
- Under 'Personal life': should I delete the text under the warning box?
When I first came across Munly's page, there wasn't much information there and I thought that was due to neglect... I now see that it probably was due to WP's strict guidelines. TBH, I'm at a standstill and I'm not sure whether I should start drafting related band pages. - Xx rapunzel xx (talk) 00:12, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
- Xx rapunzel xx, thanks for commenting. Sorry some of the cuts were rather severe, but I'm trying to make sure the trivial tidbits are cleared out. It would be good if there was more detail on his albums and singles, as well as national tours and reviews. If most of his notoriety came from SCAC then that section could be supported with those sources.
- Social media from Munly himself would be okay as WP:TWITTER but if he only confirms month and day, then you will need an external news article to confirm the birth year. Public search records (court, DMV, property, marriage, etc.) are not allowed.
- For obituaries, you can cite the actual newspaper if it was published in one of those.
- Discogs is a user-generated database. If you are wanting to cite pictures of albums and singles, then you can cite the album itself or album cover or liner notes.
- Genius shouldn't be used. If another news article cites lyrics, use that instead. Yes, some of his lyrics might get the Parental Content warning sticker, but unless it's been discussed by a separate critic in an external news review, then it doesn't need to be listed. Bandcamp is self-published material but again, why need to list out his lyrics like that? I don't see the relevance.
- You don't need to protect the artist, in fact, it's better that you don't for WP:COI purposes. See WP:PROUD. If they're notable enough to have a page, they are subject to have not-so-favorable news brought up, provided it shows up in reliable news sources.
- As for plays and children's books, I would only list them if they are recognized by external news sources. He could have a number of projects going, such as YouTube videos.
- Personal life. I kept it to his immediate family, live-in partner, and religious affiliation, but you can update/cut where appropriate.
- As for drafting related band pages, just keep in mind the WP:NMUSIC criteria and if they meet that, then they have a good hance of going through. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 00:44, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
Didn't realize that Ext. Links go under Refs - I think they'd go unnoticed since "refs" signal that I've reached the end of the article and I don't read anymore. Xx rapunzel xx (talk) 20:30, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
Good Morning! Last week, you tagged one of my edits as 'peacock prose'. Do I delete all these names? How would I write it from a more neutral POV? - Xx rapunzel xx (talk) 13:11, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Xx rapunzel xx, that paragraph just contains a bunch of name drops. It needs to be rewritten to describe who and from where it's making the comparisons to the authors and other writers. More detail would be good. In the Jennifer Hale article there's just a single reference from a writer comparing her to Meryl Streep. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:54, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
New: Hi! So we meet again. I see what you did with the discography - should I do the same for Slim Cessna's Auto Club? - Xx rapunzel xx (talk) 22:47, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
New: I have another question to ask you: the link you put that directs you to the SCAC discography page - is it possible to do that in place of a wiki link? Can I replace the text with a name to it goes to a certain section with their info? Or is that not how that works? - Xx rapunzel xx (talk) 21:25, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
- Xx rapunzel xx, regarding that direct to discography, you can look at Template:Main and see how that goes to the section. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:33, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
White Panda
Hi Angus! Thank you for reviewing my article, Draft:White_Panda. I have a few questions about notability. You mentioned it needs more external verificability, either from charting or independent sources, and I am looking for guidance based on this.
For charting, since The White Panda were a mashup artist, their music was ineligible to be sold, and therefore ineligible to chart, while they were still popular enough to go on national tours, and be called the next generation of mashup artists by Entertainment Weekly. Perhaps this poses a unique challenge to establishing verificability this way?
Second, I've found 4 major independent sources: Entertainment Weekly, Delaware News Journal, SFGate, and Vibe. I found some college newspaper pieces and online music magazines, but read that they generally do not count to establish notability. I can look for more sources, but I'd like to know what to aim for.
Thanks! Semitones (talk) 16:38, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- Semitones, it looks like they have one single that charted. I'm trying to see if there are more in-depth articles. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:07, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- I'm finding a lot of articles are are referencing specific performances. They seem like they go beyond reporting upcoming concert dates. See if any of these are useful (I kept everything I found, good or bad)

Hey AngusWOOF one question I have about WP:NMUSIC regarding interviews -- the fact that an established music magazine like Vibe Magazine would have a feature interview -- does any part of that count towards notability? Even if it is an interview, and according to WP:NMUSIC it doesn't count as independent because it is a "\[publication\] where the musician or ensemble talks about themselves" ?" The interview is in an issue entitled "The EDM-Rap Mashup Divide" which I think lends weight to the argument that The White Panda were a visible, representative group of the subgenre.
I would be interested in using it as one of the WP:THREE for notability, but not if being an interview makes it not count.--Semitones (talk) 00:29, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- Semitones, interviews can't be counted towards the WP:THREE for notability unless it's one of those kinds of interviews where the interviewer has a lot more in-depth research as with Lena Waithe's interview with Vanity Fair https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2018/03/lena-waithe-cover-story. If it's mostly Q&A, then it's a primary source. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 02:28, 29 May 2020 (UTC)

- VaJaMe, it needs a lot more outside external references and it needs to not look like a copy of the website in its formatting of verbiage. It shouldn't have a mission statement like that. It can have a history section on how it was formed and has grown. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 02:25, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
Dear AngusWoof, would you be so kind and check if the amount of external sources is sufficient now? Moreover, I've edited the mission statement section. Hello, thanks for reviewing.
I am not sure what do you mean by Still relatively WP:MILL business needs more extensive coverage. The company has been coverage by various sources and I do cite three major news sites (NBC[1], WSJ, and WWMT) as well as covered multiple times by the local Grand Rapids Business Journal. Inc. doesn't stablish notability but its worth mentioning. From my understanding these article pass WP:ORG.
The company is also covered in less known sources like Babiekins[2], Michigan Health[3], University & College Designers Association[4], Optometry Today[5], etc.
I look forward to more insight. Thanks again JRSQuest (talk) 18:58, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

- JRSQuest, NBC and WSJ look promising. I've consolidated the NBC source since they are using the same TV segment for both shows. If you want to note those on the AFC comments section, that would be helpful. I'd try to stay away from non-notable blog websites, but U&M Health might be okay. Optometry Today looks more like a press statement / interview. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:38, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:1292simon has "Rejected" my last submitted draft meaning I cannot do anything. I have edited the page to be as subjective and without any personal slant. I really feel the criteria being used for this draft is way more draconian than the large majority of Wikipedia pages out there.
As the above user does not seem to want to help further I am asking you as a previous reviewer to reconsider this page and/or advise how I can get it resubmitted?
- Please talk with 1292simon about it then. I've tried to keep the Nosferatu (band) article neutral and kept the paragraph about "The Nosferatu" in there. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 05:11, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
Did you see that? Ganbaruby actually listed her blood type. Ganbaruby, don't ever do that again. Drmies (talk) 01:54, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Drmies: Ouch. The entire draft was User:R5E7D9I4C1A0Y3U4S2T7I8M's doing. He/she created Miho Watanabe (idol) but the subject didn't fulfull WP:BAND, so I redirected it back to Hinatazaka46. Since the user was insistient, I copy-pasted the pre-redirected page into the draftspace for them (see User talk:R5E7D9I4C1A0Y3U4S2T7I8M). I know better than to list blood types. ◢ Ganbaruby! Request on 20:16:25, 25 June 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by Koolkrazy
Dear AngusWOOF,
Thank you for reviewing my article. unfortunately TVGuide does not have all the previous season information. Also no where i could find the broadcasting information as you requested. Kindly advice how can i proceed? --KoolKrazy (Talk To Me!) 20:16, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
--KoolKrazy (Talk To Me!) 20:16, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
- KoolKrazy, several things that need to be done. First, beef up the reception and broadcasting sections that will have the external news sources. If there are enough of those then it can be considered for AFC review again. Second, move the episodes to a separate list, remove the onlyinclude and separate seasons, remove the short summaries that are copy-pasted from the official website. See what I did with episodes 397 and 398. Third, please confirm the original broadcast dates as their official website has different dates than what was on the guide. Draft:Hurun_Report
( Ncompass (talk) 10:25, 16 June 2020 (UTC) ) - Thank you for your initial advice - I will try and improve the article page for you... my cousin Rupert Hoogewerf is a very well respected UK 'business' person living and working on China, the Hurun Report is huge in China itself and is considered on a par if not better than the Forbes Rich List (which he used to work for), I believe there are some 200 people working for the Huran Report in Shanghai and the company has offices in numerous places around the world, India, Japan, UK etc. My facts are not that clear on it all... and I do not want to sound boastful or any article to sound 'advertorial', but the Huran Report does merit a page of its own. I believe they even have Radio and TV shows, it's not a small outfit and considering it is run principally, but not entirely by an Englishman is fairly unique in terms of China. Anyway, apologise if this is of no interest to you and I will try and work on this a bit more... if that is Ok with you. Many thanks so far and if there is someone better qualified to edit an article of this sort how would I go about finding the right person.
- Ncompass, since you are connected to Rupert, you need to declare COI. In order for Hurun Report to stand on its own, you need to provide WP:THREE external news articles that discuss the corporation in depth, beyond just the usual routine news cycle reports. No press releases, Q&A interviews or website. See WP:NCORP for further criteria that corporations and organizations need to meet. It also needs more details for it to stand on its own. Right now there's only a handful of sentences where it can easily be covered in Rupert's article. Compare with Dan Abrams who has a number of projects under his name including The Mary Sue, Law & Crime, Gossip Cop, and SportsGrid. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:53, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
Hi AngusWOOF, thank you, I did declare COI when I created the Hurun Report page last night... were you not able to see that? I see you have removed the text I wrote last night, I guess that is OK... but I also edited a few things on the 'Rupert_Hoogewerf' page, but you appear to have deleted them completely now, these were simply corrections to URL's I did not add anything new, the old links did not work, but you have deleted them now. Can you please put them back. the sort of thing I changed/updates was making the URL's https instead of http, that was all. All your other recommendation are taken on board, I realise I am not the perfect person to do this, but who is? Hurun is definitely a 'notable' organisation... I will update the page when I have something worthy to put there. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ncompass (talk • contribs)
- Ncompass, per WP:ELMINOFFICIAL there should only be one extenal link for the report website. It doesn't need the variants that go to the different countries. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:36, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF understood... can I add the Hurun India website? https://www.hurunindia.net/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ncompass (talk • contribs)
- Ncompass, on Rupert's article, it should only have minimal external links as well. Official website for Rupert would be good there, and Hurun Report website since Hurun Report is still in draft status. I don't believe it needs Hurun India as you can access the India version from Hurun Report official website. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:55, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, OK - as you see fit, thank you... I was taking the line of expanding the content on Rupert_Hoogewrf as per Dan Abrams article, for example, I think he has written seven books on the rise of capitalism in Chinese... it is worth noting that Hurun is a direct translation of Rupert Hoogewerf (or Hoogewerf, Rupert). Thank you...
- AngusWOOF - I have some draft text for the Hurun Report... with sources and citations - what is the best way to get this to you? I have noted that companies like Forbes have dedicated pages for their India/China Offices and so on, but Hurun which do a similar thing, have bigger profiles in China and India... the difficulty of publishing content on Wikipedia is tricky to get right... Can I send you some information directly to help with this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ncompass (talk • contribs)
- Ncompass, I suggest you expand on the existing articles first, and then when it's obvious that it needs to be split off to its own page, then you can do a split request. Each new page has to be able to stand on its own for notability independent from the parent company. Note that a lot of the major websites like Google or Yahoo do not split by branch/country office. Magazines are different in that they have specific editions that have taken on their own identity. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:54, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, - Yes OK - I will make some more significant changes to the Rupert Hoogewerf Page... Please guide me as you see fit...
- Ncompass, can you add more citations to support some of the statements made on Rupert's page? Also, if the information was garnered from personal correspondence, that should not be included. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:49, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, I have added a series of Citations as per recommendations, no information was garnered from personal correspondence, but rather taken from searches on the web. I should find one more I think... not quite sure where to look... their website seems out of date, I might remove the sentence. Once again thank you... this is all looking good if there is more you think i should be adding please let me know. To be honest, this is giving me confidence in editing on Wikipedia, I am a website developer that has never fully understood Wikipedia and how to contribute, so thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ncompass (talk • contribs)
Please,Can you a help a community
I want bring your notice here, every club has a fan group now a days, but that does not matter that it passes wikipedia guidelines most importantly WP:SIGCOV and WP:GROUP. Without fulfilling these guidelines we cannot . The article Manjappada, fan group of Kerala Blasters FC was first created in 2016 and deleted per discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Manjappada, failing SIGCOV. Again it was recreated in 2018 and redirect per discussion at 1, failing SIGCOV along with failing per G4 and G7 of WP:CSD. And recently it was recreated again in May 2020 and deleted
However, if we consider the first ,deletion of Manjappada was basically for not having significant coverage. And the latest article created was atleast four times the size of the 2016-2018 article. Its well structured than before and has coverage in TOI, The News Minute, FirstPost, AsianNet News, Sportskeeda, Goal.com, New Indian Express. I am bringing this to your attention that we are one of the largest fan group in INDIA and had won best fan club award 2 times..This new article was approved and got redirected to kerala blasters page after 3 weeks.Me and my friend took 3 months for the creation of this page..So all our community is in a state that we cannot create our wikipedia page for ever...Please help us in this issue ...please reply to me.. Shahoodu (talk) 03:51, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu, it was redirected per the AFD back in 2018 per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Manjappada (2nd nomination). Nothing has changed in separate notability since then, and it's been fully protected by admins. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 05:03, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu, I suggest you work on the Kerala Blasters FC main article and develop the Manjappada section. I bolded the term Manjappada. All these duplicate drafts are going nowhere and there's little chance of it being its own spinoff article, especially since it's been fully protected from creation by admins. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 05:10, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
So is it not possible to create an wikipedia article with the name manjappada kerala blasters fans for ever?? Shahoodu (talk) 05:37, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
But the reason one of the admins saying is that this page was already created previously..But as you know this was not like the previous page.So does that mean we cannot create a wikipedia page forever?? I am bringing this to your attention that this new article was approved and got redirected to kerala blasters wikipedia page after 3 weeks of approval.Me and my friend took 3 months for the creation of this page..So we are is in a state that we cannot create our wikipedia page for ever. Manjappada Kerala Blasters Fans was an approved article as it had more contents to be approved as an article..But it has been redirected into Kerala Blasters FC page Can you atleast review it,please?? Shahoodu (talk) 05:40, 23 June 2020 (UTC)

- Shahoodu, you will need to convince an admin that creating such a page is going to work. I won't support the other recent creations because they don't show notability independent from the main page as per the AFC rejections. As I have said, your efforts would be better served improving the fans section on the main article. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:32, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu, look at TVXQ#Fan_club. They have hundreds of thousands of fans in their fan club, but it is still in the context of TVXQ. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:34, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your valuable time..Understood the facts Shahoodu (talk) 09:57, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu also if you are part of that community in any kind of leadership role you will need to declare your COI on that page. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:48, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
Draft:Triple The Mogul
Hi it seems your concern was that the page is music themed so maybe we should move the draft to buisnessmen, becuase the bulk of reliable sources are around the boxing league. Here are a few links from The Blast, Jerusalem Post and The Source magazine, all of which i beleive properly reach the criteria for WP:BASIC. https://theblast.com/c/sean-kingston-professional-boxing-league-rappers-ufc https://www.jpost.com/special-content/jewish-rapper-triple-the-mogul-teams-up-with-sean-kingston-to-start-pro-boxing-league-for-rappers-632748 https://thesource.com/2020/06/22/sean-kingston-boxing/
I changed the infobox from musician to person. Does this work ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jayzhizbovvs (talk • contribs) 17:16, 25 June 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Dear Boy (band)
I have been working on this draft for some time. I am not trying to be difficult, but am seeking to understand what more information I need to provide to have this page published.
I was directed to ensure there was a "credible source" included that is a well-known publication -- and as such added the link to the Rolling Stone Mexico article which references the band's success at the large international music festival, Corona Capital. Other references include awards from U.S. major radio station KROQ, Best of Indie award from BMI music, and features from Live Nation.
Your note is the first time I've heard that a band must have charting on Billboard to qualify as notable. I believe this band qualifies for Wikipedia:Notability (music) based on the following criteria:
- 1 Subject of published works from independent source -- Rolling Stone Mexico
- 7 Prominent representative of a notable style in local scene -- Los Angeles KROQ has featured them repeatedly as top Alternative Local band. They headlined a festival KROQ sponsored and also were featured on a compilation album of local L.A. alternative music. They have also been featured on Mornings Become Eclectic (syndicated public radio show) and ALT 105.3 FM in San Francisco.
Thank you in advance for reconsidering this draft and/or providing any tips or advice on what more information I need to add. Contrary.Carrie (talk) 06:17, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
- Contrary.Carrie, what is that local style in LA? It would have to be something like Jay Munly and his "Denver sound" or "gothic country" AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:43, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
Alternative Rock, for which KROQ-FM in L.A. is seen as one of the pioneers. KROQ also featured Dear Boy as the top band on their release of an album they released in 2019 featuring the best alternative bands in L.A., as seen [here|https://kroq.radio.com/blogs/kroq-locals-only-kat-corbett/kroq-locals-only-vinyl-volume-1-details]. They have also been featured on Mornings Become Eclectic a well-known Alternative Rock show on KCRW also in L.A.
In addition to this criteria for notability, they have also been featured in published works by Rolling Stone in Mexico.
Thanks for your time and assistance. Please let me know if anything else is needed to proceed. Contrary.Carrie (talk) 20:18, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
Contrary.Carrie, can you find more external sources outside of the LA area? Rolling Stone Mexico looks okay. Need more like that. The Daily Tar Heel is a student publication, so can't be used. They open for some famous acts; maybe there are some detailed concert reviews on them instead of press release / festival announcements? I saw one from Fender but that's because they were the sponsor. Same with album and single reception. Pitchfork, VENTS, NME, Billboard? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:36, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
secret hit music
Good afternoon, you rejected a submission I did about secret hit music that is an independent company with lots of valid links it self and is my understanding incorporated just couldn't find more details and super new into this and will like to know if the new links I add to it can make the cut — Preceding unsigned comment added by Christopherhayden (talk • contribs) 18:06, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
- Christopherhayden, I suggest you work on expanding the VIP records one instead as that has the same information as Secret Hit, and even has the same discographies. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:06, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
is my understanding those are no the same discography, I check those out and I don't find a match on those. also if where to expanding vip do you have samples of something like that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Christopherhayden (talk • contribs) 20:36, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
Decide yourself first you say no enough sources sources were provided and now you talk about the artists? who are you music critic? the label it has enough credible sources including BMI something most of the smaller labels do no have what is your critics now the artists? the artists has nothing to do with the credibility and sources of the COMPANY — Preceding unsigned comment added by Christopherhayden (talk • contribs)
- Christopherhayden, sources from within company are primary sources. YouTube links are from the artist. You need more external ones. Also the artists listed don't have Wikipedia pages, so how is it the company is notable and its artists are not? Also, the article should be reviewed by another AFC reviewer and not just pushed forth by the originator. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:11, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
- Christopherhayden, I don't see it having much separation from its founder or its parent company. So I think it should be developed there first and then it can split by size afterwards. So I suggest merging it to Fabrizio Moreira or VIP Music Records. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:27, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
AngusWOOF agree on the review but wait help me to understand did you reviewed the sources? you have billboard, Broadcast Music, Inc. AllMusic, Billboard Argentina, Magazines and stores with credits so sources are legit and have merits mostly all sources are big so sources can't be an issue, I am trying to argument this because I do believe this is has relevance, also in regards of the artists well the main focus if you really do what is a review will find is to songwriter and produce, and the relevance of the company is that. it became the first company in do a Latin Songwriter camp with BMI "Broadcast Music, Inc. is one of the five major United States performing rights organizations, along with ASCAP, SESAC, Pro Music Rights and GMR." and the source is NO BETWEEN THE COMPANY the sources are from the largest music companies in the industry, also the company is just 2 years old I guess (the registration it say otherwise but in the articles its say is since 2018) but public records it says is a nearly 6 months company, so I think you just judging the article for what you feelings are and no by what it counts relevance the relevance of the articles are big time
and last question how do you merge them worst case scenario I don't know what you means by that — Preceding unsigned comment added by Christopherhayden (talk • contribs)
Christopherhayden, create a section under VIP Records and put your article in there. See how Fabrizio's article already has a section on Secret Hit Music. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:42, 7 July 2020 (UTC)
Request on 07:10:36, 1 July 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by Wi en.Pa
Dear AngusWoof,
my draft keeps on getting rejected. I added references and so on. As requested. Also the person I'm writing about has a german wiki entry. So I do not really understand why this on (the English version) is not meeting the requirements.
See here the German wiki: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laura_J._Padgett
Thanks for your help!
Best regards!
Wi en.Pa (talk) 07:10, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
- Wi en.Pa, the main concern was that it looked like an academic / artist profile you'd see on her official website or museum program, with the tone being like a hagiography and structure like a CV / resume. Was this a translation of the German article? The sources look like they are coming from the museums / official websites as well. Do you have more external news articles that review her career and works? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:19, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
- Wi en.Pa, as you see,. the style of the de and ef WPs are different--the dewp is probably of higher overall quality, but--perhaps because so many of the enwp contributors and readers are not first language speaker, often with less academic an education than is customary in Germany and some other European counties, the enwp goes much more by explicit referencing, sometimes more than is customary in actual scholarship, let alone common sense. , I'm accepting the article. Any perceived problem in referencing can be fixed later.(Tho of course no one person gets to decide, and anyone can challenge the accepted article). Draft: List of Bollywood Movies Released on Digital Platform
Anuxps (talk) 00:34, 2 July 2020 (UTC) This page is created for a complete list of movies release on digital platform. As you comment keep this information under list of Bollywood movies 2020 but this page is not specific only for 2020. It will be used for lifetime releases on digital platform
- Anuxps, the scope of the article is rather vague. Are you trying to make the equivalent of List of Hotstar original programming? There aren't any Wikipedia articles that are categorized as Bollywood or whatever genre and then "released digitally". AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 00:52, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
Anuxps (talk) 17:43, 2 July 2020 (UTC) Yes I am trying to make a consolidate list of Bollywood movies which are release on different digital platform. There are various digital platform who are releasing the movies on their platform and end user is not aware about on which platform movie would be available, when it would be available. My list will provide a consolidated information. The list you have mentioned is specifically made for one of the digital platform hoststar but there are so many other platform available and no consolidated list is here.
- Anuxps, you need to discuss on WP:FILM whether this should be a topic. There isn't even a master list for digital platform releases in general like by home media format (Videodisc, VideoCD, VHS, DVD, Blu-ray). There are ones by particular digital platforms like Hotstar, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, but even within there they are not subdivided by genre as a separate article. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:05, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
Anuxps (talk) 21:37, 2 July 2020 (UTC) Please guide me under which section , I have to discuss on WP:FILM. There are lot of section and tab over there.
- Anuxps the main talk page at WT:FILM would be fine. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:41, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
Anuxps (talk) 21:44, 2 July 2020 (UTC) Thanks for providing information. Answer to your question as you mentioned that a particular digital platform is also not having such an article mentioned about the list I am going to prepare is correct and due to the same reason I am asking to make a list of these. If you go and see in detail for each one of these digital platform lists, you can find but they have included for all region, all language movies and programs combined, and not having Bollywood specific list across all platforms. I hope I am able to explain to you the need for this contribution.
- I haven't seen a need to cross list just the Bollywood films released digital only though. I haven't seen other genres do the same. Also, what do you do with the direct-to-videos and stream-only that all genres are now doing? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:18, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for your suggestions on the Ana & Lola Sanchez pages, Angus. I will work on a page for Oliver Gal when I have more time. One question I had was regarding notability and reliable sources. When I decided to create the pages for Lola and Anna Sanchez-Gal, I looked at the page for another artist - Parvez Taj (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Parvez_Taj). His page has barely any sources, and most of them lead either to his own website or stores that sell his art. I’m trying to better understand how to determine notability because to me, Lola and Anna seem to be more notable (at least, based on media coverage). Would you be able to share any insights on that? Thanks so much! Jackie845 (talk) 17:33, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
Jackie845 (talk) 17:33, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
- Jackie845, I suggest looking at the notability guidelines and criteria for people at WP:NARTIST and look for more external news sources (independent of the subject) that cover their career in detail. News sources should be neutral and not mostly Q&A interviews. They can be in-depth on the artist though. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:38, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
About reliable sources
Hi, can you explain how an official statement of the voice actor (via verified official twitter account) that she gave voice to specific video game character is not a reliable source? EchoBlu (talk) 00:50, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- EchoBlu, for the filmography, she needs to be credited by the company first and then specific roles can be clarified by her twitter. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 00:53, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- EchoBlu, see Talk:Cristina Vee filmography. I explained it there with examples. Basically, if the only source is her own tweet, that's not enough to prove she voiced in the game or that it's a notable role. It could be really unimportant "Additional voices" roles. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:09, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- EchoBlu, I found the announcement video from Blizzard that Jaina was going to be in the game, so I've reinstated the entry on her filmography. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:31, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
Draft:Claire Celsi
I think the practice is to accept the official record as sufficient basis for an article, and any reasonably reliable source for basic personal data. -- at least, that's what I;ve been doing form any years. DGG ( talk ) 01:09, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- DGG, okay, it wasn't too hard to add two newspaper references though. I was hoping the person submitting that draft would have done so. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:15, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- I know the problem... In theory the idea is to get them improved at AFC bu in practice it seems to work out better in Main. space Or when the reviewer does it. I know that I should try to do it myself when I see them , but I feel that I'm on a rush rescue mission at the moment to prevent things getting deleted. DGG ( talk ) 06:03, 15 July 2020 (UTC)

Draft: Professor Piyush Sharma
Hi Angus, you have just declined the article on Professor Piyush Sharma that I submitted for review, saying that it has copyright content from his online profile on his employer's website! I am not sure if this is an appropriate reason for declining his profile to be created on Wikipedia as he has similar profiles on Publons, ResearchGate, Google Scholar and similar platforms that showcase his considerable research outputs. Could you please clarify this? Thanks and best regards!
Comment: Bio is copy-pasted and closely paraphrased from his academic profiles at the website. Needs a complete overhaul, but not like this. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:19, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
Could you please take a closer look at the profile as it does not simply copy-paste or closely paraphrase from his academic profile. It has substantially more details about his early life and education as well as industry career, which are not covered in his academic profile. The only things that have been captured as overlap by your software are the names of his employers, his job titles, the journals in which his research is published etc. which cannot be avoided, as you would understand. Sorry to bother you like this but would really appreciate some guidance on this! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karmixup (talk • contribs)
Comment: It's formatted like a resume or academic profile you would see on those websites. Way too many listings of just papers or titles. There needs to be more external news sources. Also if he is a professor, you should show how he meets WP:NACADEMIC. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:30, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
Thank you so much for sharing your invaluable guidance. I would add more external news sources to show how he meets WP:NACADEMIC. Best regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karmixup (talk • contribs)
- Karmixup, see if you can write about the professor without having to take verbiage from his website / academic profiles. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:18, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
Article Protest
Hi this is Lucky7Dog. I happened to have noticed that every article I send in doesn't get approved. I need this issue fixed! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lucky7dog (talk • contribs) 18:12, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
- Lucky7dog, you might want to look for external news sources to show that your article subject has notability. See WP:YFA AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:16, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
Ok I will try to. Thanks! Can I use references from Google? I hope you respond. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lucky7dog (talk • contribs) 18:19, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
- Lucky7dog, not Google search results, but if you find news articles that aren't product announcements or press releases, that would help. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:10, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
Ok, thanks for the information.
Draft:Miniminter
Hi AngusWOOF, I didn't understand what you were saying in the miniminter draft. This is my first time on drafts. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/967474105
Were you just saying that to help me improve the draft, wait to get reviewed and then move it live on articles or am I supposed to do something else? Thanks! :) Andrew012p (talk) 14:24, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
- Andrew012p, I'm saying that there was some reason why the Simon Minter redirect was create protected, so hopefully whoever did that can explain. Miniminter was also deleted multiple times in 2015 for WP:CSD A7 - lacks credible claim of significance. So the article needs to be scrutinized more to confirm independent notability from the group. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:19, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
Oooh okay. Well, I hope the draft I did will be good to publish in live articles. :) But, I sent the draft for undeletion and the admin there told me that the article was undeleted or something like that. Then I commented on his talk page. He replied to me even though I still didn't understand... Can you please check and see what happened?
So, if the draft is approved, then no matter if it's protected, it will still be published? Andrew012p (talk) 15:29, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
- Andrew012p, if an AFC reviewer thinks it's good enough, then they'll take down the create protection. I'm just giving you a heads up that it might be difficult. Another option to help this along is to discuss on the Sidemen talk page which members should have their own pages. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:42, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
Alright then, I really hope the article will be good enough. Spent a good amount on it, haha. I will also definitely write on the sidemen page. Thanks for your help, my friend. Andrew012p (talk) 15:54, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
- Andrew012p, the more it shows individual notability and not just inherited popularity with Sidemen, then it has a chance of getting through. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:04, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
Alright. Hey, can you please check it out again to see if anything is wrong, please? I noticed when going mobile to the draft, it first shows the userbox for Miniminter but not the text. I don't know how to fix that, tried lots of stuff, but ends up looking weird. Can you please fix that, too? :) Thanks! P.S. The combined were from Miniminter's individual channels (three of them) not the Sidemen. I saw KSI's article was like that too but I understand if this is better. Also, RHaworth (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User_talk%3ARHaworth#Deletion_of_Miniminter), the person who deleted the page and made it protected is inactive. That's probably why the page wasn't still undeleted when I wrote to him and the undeletion page. Andrew012p (talk) 10:30, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
Hi, how are you? Sorry if I'm being annoying, but can you please check out the draft again? :) Thanks! I've added some new stuff and sources. Should the thing about GTA V be mentioned in career or personal life? Also, the thing about mobile that I was telling you, is short description template? Played with it a bit but don't know if it's accurately done in the draft. It still doesn't add the text in the beginning of the draft. Andrew012p (talk) 17:49, 18 July 2020 (UTC)

Request for clarification
Hi, You recently reviewed Draft: Direction Finding by Amplitude Comparison . Please clarify, for me, a comment you made in the review, namely "Wikipedia is not a journal repository". I am not really sure what your comment means. Thanks D1ofBerks (talk) 14:11, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
- D1ofBerks, see WP:NOTJOURNAL The article needs context and history. It can't just plunge into technical material like that. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 14:15, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
Hi AngusWOOF, Thank you for your response.
I wanted to describe in detail the specific features of just one method of Diffection Finding, without the article covering the many other methods that are possible, nor did I wish to cover historical aspects, as these are covered elsehwere. In the process, I seem to have overdone it! I shall ponder how to give the article a more reader friendly format.
( I am aware that I am dealing with a niche topic, of little interest to many people, but the techniques described, although many years old, are still in use on modern ships and aircraft).
D1ofBerks (talk) 19:24, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
- D1ofBerks, you might want to ask the editors at the Direction finding article and the related Wikiprojects (Aviation, Radio) for some ideas too. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:03, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
Chicken Wings
Hi Angus, I was dissapointed to see my article around chicken wings rejected. I am exploring various types of flavours around South Africa as it is a firm fave here. I would like to write about them and inform people around the simplicity of getting various tastes. While chicken wings may not seem noteable for some, to many of us it is a local delicacy but one with variants that are hard to find or make. I hope you will reconsider your decision.
Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Peri-Peri Zinger Wings (talk • contribs) 17:43, 27 July 2020 (UTC)

Request on 06:16:56, 23 July 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by Bingee101
@AngusWOOF: Thank you for the feedback on the Dehd article, I appreciate it. I will try to bolster the independent sourcing beyond what is already there and remove the record label annotation. I'm new at this and I'm still learning as I go along, I would just want to redirect resources elsewhere if it is not realistic that the notability threshold will be met. I would argue that it is notable under the current guidelines.
- Criteria #6 (independently notable ensembles) is met by two of the members having been in NE-HI and Lala Lala, respectively.
- Criteria #12 regarding substantial broadcast segment across a national radio or television network is met by the two National Public Radio citations (3 and 8), indicating that they were the featured subject of national broadcast segments.
- Criteria #10 regarding use of work in notable media is met by their song being prominently used in a broadcast network television show (citation 6). Thank you! Bingee101 (talk) 06:16, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
Bingee101 (talk) 06:16, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
- Bingee101, you can list those in the AFC comments or talk page. Maybe another reviewer might think that would be sufficient to get it through? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 14:26, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
- Bingee101, it looks like it was approved. Congrats. :) AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 02:35, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
Please take action on all pages equally
You said "I've told editors to expand the fan section and when it gets big enough to split, then it can be requested there. But do they listen? No. Note that TVXQ has one of the largest fandoms in the world (hundreds of thousands of official members),"...I agree with your opinion..And If this is the case then please take actions regarding pages like West Block Blues and East Bengal Ultras. They should also follow the criteria. Please reply to me Shahoodu (talk) 09:16, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/West Block Blues (2nd nomination). Other editors have agreed that one has enough WP:GNG reference articles to split. See also Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/East Bengal the Real Power which also resulted in keep because of WP:GNG sources. So I would keep developing the main article's fan section with quality references and propose split from there when it's clear it can use its own page. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:08, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
I dont know why this is happening like this..Please kindly check the deleted article of Manjappada. It had covered more than 25 sources. It actually had 4 times the content than West Block Blues..And if you search on instagram you can see the organisation has blue tick on instagram..So please explain to me why this Manjappada article only gets deleted..Please explain to me as it is a serious issue. Shahoodu (talk) 16:25, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
If you search on google you can see that Manjappada is one of the largest fan groups in India like that of West Block Blues and East Bengal Ultras..So why the article of Manjappada only gets merged always?I dont think its fair..I am requesting you humbly..Sir,Please take an action Shahoodu (talk) 16:28, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu, I've already explained to you how to expand the article so the fan group can ultimately get its own page. That way if someone types in Manjappada they will get to the relevant detailed information which is what they really want. If those sources meet WP:GNG then you can start raising a case that the organization can have a page. But for now, you need to develop that section and expand it with those GNG sources. Can you work with that for now? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:44, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
But the article has been protected by admins..The drafts keep rejecting. Also the Manjappada Kerala Blasters Fans is redirected into Kerala Blasters. The article alreadg had GNG sources..can you kindly help me solve this issue or tell me what to do Shahoodu (talk) 16:50, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- The main article about the FC is protected? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:51, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- Stop working on the drafts and work on the main article to expand that section, supporting it with GNG sources. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:52, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
I already said you it already had GNG sources..The article of West block blues only have less than 7 sources and still satisfies GNG.This is what concerns me .The articlr manjappada had more than 20 sources from goal.com, times of india ,khelnow,sportskeeda..So does it mean it dont have GNG?Please sir kindly help me with the issue. Shahoodu (talk) 16:53, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
So you are advicing me to expand kerala blasters page sir?should i do that Shahoodu (talk) 16:55, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
So should I expand Kerala Blasters's support section with GNG first and then argue for new page Shahoodu (talk) 16:56, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu, yes, I've said that since the beginning. Expand the section to several paragraphs. Use ONLY GNG sources, no Times of India per WP:RSP or newsletters/websites from its own page. Let it sit there. Continue expanding. After a month or so, on the talk page propose a split and state your WP:THREE best sources to show notability. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:14, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu, also, if you are connected to the organization in any manner, you need to declare COI. This is especially if you are tasked by the organization to help create a separate Wikipedia page or will get any potential compensation or favors from the organization because of it. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:19, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
Thank you a lot sir.. Shahoodu (talk) 17:19, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
Yes sir i have already done that..one of the admin asked me to do that Shahoodu (talk) 17:26, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu, we've talked about this for over a month now. User_talk:AngusWOOF/Archive_18#Please,Can_you_a_help_a_community so it's the same stance. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:35, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
I had done like your advice. Can I open a talk page after a month and claim for a new page?? Shahoodu (talk) 17:39, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu, it should be developed more and made clear first. There's no point to push for a split until the section gets big enough per WP:SIZESPLIT. When the prose gets big enough then it can be proposed to split it off. But it still has to retain its quality. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:46, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu, you need to build up the article slowly, not throw in the entire draft. This is why the other editors are reverting your recent edits. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:49, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
I understood. Thanks a lot for giving such advices.Since Im new here, Iam slowly learning things.. Shahoodu (talk) 17:49, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu, since you are connected with the organization, you should probably make request edits on the talk page instead. See WP:EDITREQ AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:53, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

They have been streamed more than 800,000 times on Spotify and their friendship with Matt Pinfield got them on Sirius XM. Also you mentioned them in your article in Music of Denver as an active band. I gave two from Britain just now. The Westword articles were referencing them as well. I should of clarified that... I’m sorry. But if you can help in any way it would be really cool.
