[edit]Hello, I'm Frost. I noticed that in this edit to James Acho, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Frost 17:26, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at James Acho, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 17:52, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Andydor07. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page James Acho, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 17:27, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
Blocked as promotion only account
[edit]Since you seem to only be here to promote James Acho, are only interested in providing puffery for this person, and have admitted to working with the article subject to improve their article, you've been blocked from editing Wikipedia. This is an encyclopaedia, not a resume site or a place to promote individuals. Canterbury Tail talk 20:53, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
