If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Haute Living, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.  Velella  Velella Talk   11:36, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Andydesher. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Eagles 24/7 (C) 00:24, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Eagles247: I do not have any affiliation or COI with any of the businesses that have been mentioned in my contributions. I also do not accept endorsements. I am an enthusiast of luxury, entrepreneurship and celebrity markets. I use my spare time to try and locate solely facts that I find are substantial enough to withstand the test of time on any articles that I edit. I also help to correct articles that I find have unsubstantiated or vague claims, especially in articles that are in my market. All my findings are always referenced with source and author, which originate from reliable references. Andydesher (talk) 09:05, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It is certainly interesting that in each and every contribution you've made in your time here you've included a reference to Haute Living (and even created the page). Eagles 24/7 (C) 17:14, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Eagles247: Correct. 5 years ago I added Haute Living for the very reason, it "covers interviews on entrepreneurs of great influence, business magnates, celebrities, and people of important standing in society". I am an advocate for good content, and contributing by way of knowledge is the Wikipedia way, however limited it might be. Haute Living is a reliable publication referenced by the press and national magazines. It shouldn't matter how many times I reference it if the source is good. However, like with any other site, I am still careful to extracted facts from a neural standpoint in alignment with the Wikipedia:Five_pillars . Andydesher (talk) 01:02, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
