AfD nomination of How To Destroy the Universe
I have nominated How To Destroy the Universe, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/How To Destroy the Universe. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? – Obento Musubi (C • G • S) 05:56, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- An interesting article idea, but unfortunately it was pure OR. If you can find reliable sources for the subject, try again. I did a small search and came up with nothing notable. Dreadstar † 06:03, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Tell you what, why don't you work on the article in a sandbox and give me a shout when you think it's ready.
- Here, I'll put the material from the deleted article in a user subpage sandbox for you: User:AndyCook/HTDTU

- HTDTU is a touring music festival, hence the reason for it being listed under the "Music" section of Wikipedia:Articles requested for more than a year. See HTDTU 5 blog post for some reason. Seems a bit odd that they don't have a website of their own, but it's possible that the festival no longer exists (blog post is from 2005; I couldn't find mention for any more recent festivals under this name). nneonneo talk 00:55, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- It's still entirely WP:OR, the "things of interest" site is a self-published website and wouldn't pass WP:RS. It won't fly without a reliable source that specifically talks about the subject of the article. Dreadstar † 01:24, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Visual PHP
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Visual PHP, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
