Hi

[edit]

Hi Androidhu, Glad we'll be working together. I'm still a little behind on understanding how the Wikipedia stuff works. I plan to take our quiz today then work more on this project Wed and Thurs. Alpha centauri b (talk) 21:49, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, nice to meet you. Yea, same here. Trying to figure out how these work. Good luck on your quiz today! Androidhu (talk) 01:53, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, Jennifer. Very interesting that you're a law student and also interested in biotechnology. I'm an M.D. and hoping that the bioinformatics degree will help me develop my own research program. I'm also intersted in evolutionary biology research in addition to biomedical research. P.S. sorry I wrote on your main page by accident. I'll delete that. Androidhu, do you have any preference on which article you want to work on? I think the 5s ribosomal RNA or the magnesium responsive RNA element sound kind of cool.

Alpha centauri b (talk) 02:13, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Centauri b. I don't have a strong preference so we can work on those two articles that you mentioned. I guess we can take each one of them and do the assessment? Androidhu (talk) 14:38, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Androidhu. I think our group page is already made for us. Go to the main molecular biology page and scroll down to the student and group section. Our group is called 82I. I am having trouble figuring out what we are supposed to be doing, however. Unfortunately this week is pretty busy for me at work but I'm going to try to go through more of the help pages to figure things out. Let me read a little more then get back to you later this week. Alpha centauri b (talk) 03:17, 26 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead an claimed the 5S ribosomal RNA article since they said it was on a first come first serve basis. Hope that was ok with you. If not let me know and we could probably change it.

Alpha centauri b (talk) 03:25, 26 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hey no problem. I think each of us are actually supposed to assess at least two articles individually(I think) so you can claim the other one as well. I can find and work on other two articles. Androidhu (talk) 04:04, 26 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I'll claim the other one also. Alpha centauri b (talk) 17:44, 26 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Jennifer, a bit more on the greeting side: I am one of your online ambassadors. I am around to help you out, You can contact me by email or on my talk page. Since I'm in Australia my timezone is quite different to yours. I have no special knowledge of molecular biology, but I am hoping that you can write so that I can understand it. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 10:20, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Jennifer, I put a few sources that we may be able to use for our article on my sandbox page.

Alpha centauri b (talk) 18:45, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lost sandbox

[edit]

The box of Alpha centauri b is at User:Alpha centauri b/sandbox (no talk). I found this by looking at Special:Contributions/Alpha_centauri_b which has a link labelled user contributions from the user's page, talk page, and even the name that you thought it was. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:16, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Great! Thanks a lot, Graeme. Androidhu (talk) 00:17, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Android, do you see how we find out which articles we are supposed to peer review? thanks.

Alpha centauri b (talk) 20:55, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I believe if you scroll all the way down our class page, there is a student/review assignment. Androidhu (talk) 00:41, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A bowl of strawberries for you!

I hope you enjoyed editing Wikipedia, and hope you continue to edit it whenever you find problems, or find something that you would like to add. Don't hesitate to contact me or any of the other OAs with any questions, any time you want.

I wish you well in your future studies! Klortho (talk) 02:17, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
