Your edits constitute vandalism in the opinion of those reverting them and therefore will be reverted. If you disagree with these opinions, you may provide a valid reason for your edits in the edit summary, or on the article's talk page. Please don't vandalise Wikipedia. Thank you. Hello

[edit]

I didnt get why my edits appears to be unconstructiv? We agreed to merge this articles Talk:Croatian security and intelligence system —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fajberglas (talkcontribs) 18:03, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I sincerely apologise if this is the case - I was reverting using Huggle, a semi-automatic program, and it must have looked like vandalism or I may have pressed the revert button by accident. In future, please provide an edit summary (in the "Edit Summary" box) so that we know why you're blanking the page. Thanks. :) Andreworkney talkcontribs 18:08, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Andrew. While it is true that Fajberglas did not provide an edit summary, there's nothing wrong with his edit: he is indeed working on a multiple merge and has redirected the article to point to the merge target, so he quite correctly removed the WP Croatia assessment banner (which even experienced editors sometimes fail to do!). Fajberglas is a newcomer so it's quite understandable that he was not aware of how that may have appeared to someone. So, hopefully this is settled now... Thanks for the clarification. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. :) Andreworkney talkcontribs 18:32, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Purepwnage

[edit]

You reverted what I said on "purepwnage" saying it was non-constructive please may you explain how. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.10.118.31 (talk) 18:05, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit contained entirely unreferenced statements, and constituted vandalism. In future, please add references to your statements in order to help ensure that Wikipedia remains the reliable resource it has become. Thanks. :) Andreworkney talkcontribs 18:12, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand.

[edit]

Someone is running around claiming Herb Ellis has died, and edited his bio to reflect this. There are no credible reports to substantiate this. Why have you removed my simple caveat?

```` —Preceding unsigned comment added by Atlantaspike (talkcontribs) 18:48, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. As silly as it may sound, I reverted your edit because there are no references supporting it. Please provide references for your statements in future. Looking at the history, it seems you said there was an "unsourced claim of Herb Ellis' death on the social networking site Facebook". Sadly, you have not given a reference to indicate such a claim has been made on Facebook. Admittedly, I probably should have just placed a "citation needed" tag there - feel free to re-add the information if you like, but I recommend that you provide a reference. Thanks. Andreworkney talkcontribs 18:56, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Good lord man, when I put the source in the page the first time, it was automatically deleted - the link IS RIGHT THERE IN THE HISTORY FOR PREVIOUS EDIT. HERE IT IS AGAIN - http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=113927681951319#!/group.php?gid=113927681951319&ref=ts
Atlantaspike (talk) 19:01, 29 March 2010 (UTC) And did you even notice the citation for the date of death edit is "Added day of Herb's death per info from "Oscar Peterson Music" Facebook page."?[reply]
Atlantaspike (talk) 19:04, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Atlantispike - I reverted this using the semi-automated Huggle client, so I only noticed your edit at the time of reversion. I apologise for this. Your link was removed automatically as links to social networking sites like Facebook are automatically removed if they come from newbies - if you wish to have the reference added, you may ask a more experienced editor (such as me), as Facebook links will not be removed if they add them. Again, due to only seeing history through Huggle, I did not see the "date of death" edit. I apologise for this, and I assure you that I would not revert had I known the context of your edit. Thank you. Andreworkney talkcontribs 19:18, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Screw it. I just took out his death date until such time as it can be corroborated. That okay with you?
Atlantaspike (talk) 19:24, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's absolutely fine with me - not that I have any authority over the article in question. Andreworkney talkcontribs 19:39, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for uploading File:NorthLink Ferries logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited STV Glasgow, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Freeview. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
